I dunno if there is anythign you can do for her, besides talking to the manager one-on-one, and straight out asking her why..I figure if you do it in a polite way, all will be well.
But, then again, when any kind of management has some kinda plan in their heads, people tend to ger axed :\
Unfortunately, this is the way that corporations use people. I wish I lived in France.

Unfortunately, she can't. Texas is a right to work state, which means they can fire you for any reason or no reason whatsoever. Sux.

I've seen this happen alot where I work. People being let go for bullshit reasons. People who need jobs to make it.
