  • I thought it was weed...

  • Nice job man! I can smell it.........lol Enjoyed!

  • That sure looks good. My wife would probably prefer the Brauts.Lol. I dont mind the Spam. Cool video. Peace

  • that looks much better than the salad I'm eating now...

  • You guys know how to cook now! Great recipe and it looks like awesome times for sure. I love the look of NM. I grew up in eastern AZ and this video reminds me of some areas around there. Thanks for sharing!

  • Oh wow! I'm hearing you Matt and I got the chiles you sent me - now I see why! And you have the inventor cooking it up like one else can - class act there - thanks Cookie! This is absolute torture. Camp cooking season is over for us here. We are going to have to wait til next season to do this right. What a great outdoor meal, I can imagine the smells. How was your trip Matt? If it was like your meals you probably had a blast - good for you!

  • @wawhiker The trip down the Green River was fantastic! Perfect weather with no wind or rain for 5 nights ,6 days. I have paddled this section multiple times and this has been the 1ST time with perfect weather. I'm gonna tease you guys a bit with some more great camping meals that we shared along this trip and I have a cool "water treatment" trick that many people don't know about. Of course, I'll be showing the trip too but I might save the best for last! :) 16GBs of media is a lot to sort thu.

  • @Nibiru128 Thanks Brother! I have had other requests from YT'ers about backpacking/camping food and I happen to have a few great meals that we ate recently on a river trip to the state of Utah and canoed for 6 days thru Canyonlands Natl. Park down the Green River. Along the journey, the 4 of us each had a night to cook somthing for eveyones dinner that night. Look forward to seeing at least 4 other great southwest camping meals in my upcoming videos!

  • I can smell the potatoes-n-spam from here at balloonfiesta. Speaking of...you should set that up next year at BF with your Dad; If you build it...they will come :)

  • @ez2curanut Nice! I went to Balloon Fiesta on Fri. but it was already raining when I got there so I just walked around and bought and consumed copious amounts of food.

I think Gila Hash would sell very well at an event like the Balloon Fiesta... I just need to come up with $1,300 dollors a day to rent a spot out there! Yikes! "Howards Gila Hash" stand! It has a nice ring to it!

  • Oh man! I am hungry just looking at this Gila Hash breakfast. Your dad sure does know how to cook up some breakfast there.

Hope the trip went well and you all had a blast out there on the Green River.

Thumbs up video, I can only imagine how this breakfast tainted the air around in robust smell!

  • Jealous of that awesome lookin' meal...and the fact you're on the Green in Canyonlands. Fantastic digs man, thanks for sharing this CrazyTaileZ Senior Tradition with us! :)

  • @touchnova Thanks Brother! On the drive up to Moab, I was thinking about you and your epic tour of the southwest video you posted a while back. Many of the places we passed by were on your video. I'm going to post a video of the river trip thru Canyonlands here soon. I captured about 16GBs of pics/video so I have A LOT of content to go thru.

Glad you enjoy the tradition! I have some other recipes that we enjoyed on the river trip that I will share with you guys in some upcoming vids.

  • thought this was a weed hash making video... oh well...

  • im gonna have to try that... thanks!

  • @hinckleypoland Thanks for watching! It's definately worth trying at least once, although, once you try it, you'll want to make it again! :-)

  • Great stuff Matt , were you car camping with all that stuff :-)

  • @medicjimr Thanks Jim! We usually make Gila Hash when we go car camping but this time we were on a 5 night, 6 day canoe trip down the Green River in Utah. (Thru the Canyonlands section). There was enough room in both canoes to fit a full size cooler and a similar size food box and some big dry bags with clothes, tent and other camping gear. We brought way more than we needed, but we sure ate good too. I have several more great tasty recipes to share with you guys in some upcoming videos!

  • @CrazyTaileZ Well will patently be waiting to see the videos for sure :-)

  • Dude, you're killin' me man! Some awesome grub bankside on a river trip... now that's the high life! Remember to bring a little Tabasco too? ;-)

    Thumbs up Bro!!

  • @intenseangler Absolutely Bro! Gotta have the hot sauce to go with it. We were certainly high rollin it. We did a 5 night, 6 day river trip down the Green River and made it to the confluence of the Green and the Colorado River. I got to sleep under the stars for 5 nights in a row. Mind blowing experience to say the least. I'll be posting a video of the trip soon. Thanks for the Thumbs Up my Brother and I'm catching up on eveyones vids. Looking forward to seeing yours as I hear you caught a FISH!

  • looking good

  • save some for me, I'm on my way!
