Anyone know what kind of guitar Mike used here? It's either gold top or tele. Sounds like he also changes pickup position quite often throughout the song. I hear a lot of middle position, and probably some neck at the start .
@kontiki78 aparently you don't know much about the harmonica. if you did you would not be saying he couldn't play. he did what most couldn't and his style isn't the common blues harp heard in most songs.
Okay, let's this straight. I am a very big fan of Butterfield and this live track is very good for the fact it is raw. Paul had limitations on vocals and in places he is straining, too stretched.
The PBBB recorded a shortened version of this track on the final Electra album 'Sometimes I feel just like smilin' Ralph Wash did a relaxed vocal and excellent guitar, Dennis Whitted was good on drums. This was overblown by horns and female backing harmonies. PBBB was past it's best by now, 1971.
I love it!!!

...that shorter, snappy tone in the solo has to be a tele, doesnt it...?

Love this song, especially the opening guitar lick at 0:58, and the licks at 1:23, 2:18 2:42 and from 4:49 to the end.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Who can be a big fan of Butterbean? hahaha this guy could hardly play and sing, that shows how ignorant people can be.
Some average players took credit 'cause blacks and minorities with more musicianship were not given a chance.
That's what's has happened ALWAYS!
