@MEYERS3000 - you may not have heard about a little album they put out in between called In Rainbows... that had some pretty, pretty solid tracks on it
@Mike8901000 YES. This is honestly the first of their songs that I had the feeling Lennon himself, Plastic Ono Band era at that, might've loved. Most people don't get Lennon's tastes- because he practically invented art rock, they think he would like things like OK Computer. He'd have called it fancy bullshit at best, just like he later said the Beatles' own work in that vein was mostly bullshit. This song is fucking rock nroll- horns and all. It's raw and ballsy, groovy, it's really new for RH.
who ever that is pablo honey is actually a terible album theres basically one ok song on the entire album but in rainbows is clearly the best album ever written, i dont know what you meen by "it gets old" cuz i can listen to 15 step over and over again and never get tired
@greenforests Pablo Honey wasn't initially one of my favourite albums, I actually put it down for a long while before I gave it a re-listen. Easily in my top 3 radiohead albums; behind Amnesiac and the Bends. You need to come back to this album and give it a chance, you won't regret it. Songs like 'You', 'Blow Out', 'Thinking About You' are some great listens, and I can't imagine a sunday autumn drive without them. As for In Rainbows being the "cearly best album".... not a chance
@lowtol I'm with you, man. It's pretty hard to find a fellow Radiohead fan that still regards Pablo Honey as an accomplished effort. Hell, I think we like the album more than Radiohead does.
@WilliamHolmes815 I liked it a first, but it gets really old really fast. Also, All I Need is among the worst songs they've ever written. Boring and generic as hell.
I should revise my original statement: This is the best thing Radiohead's done since anything on Hail to the Thief.

I can feel the spirit of John Lennon in this song.

Personally this is against the Cameron, in a similar way that 'You and Whose Army was directed at Blair.

This should've been on King of Limbs. It would've made the album so much better. Maybe they're holding it out for the next album.
Unnamed0909 6 months ago
@Unnamed0909 It actually doesn't fit in with the feel and mood of TKOL at all, so that's probably why.
TheNikrya 5 months ago
@TheNikrya I guess so. I hope they put it on the next album with Staircase and These Are My Twisted Words.

@flamezdudes I loved all 3 of those albums. That's how good this song is.

This is the Radiohead song I've been waiting for. I only wish it was twice as long, but I understand why they couldn't do that.
