Guessing it's the gas cylinder for the pneumatic shifter. Car looks quick, but that single cylinder engine sounds like poo. Do you get points for exhaust note? You should.
@Brootal290 : We don't have a pneumatic shifter, we just have a normal mechanical linkage for a shifter, but the lever comes up behind the steering wheel so the driver can shift up without taking his hand off the steering wheel.
@MrJacktodaMax : It's actually our temporary fuel tank! Because we are still running carbureted, we're not running our comp-spec fuel tank. It's much simpler to do it this way because the carby is gravity fed, and we don't have to muck around with getting the pumps right for the carby.
Looks like you could drop the rear wing by about a foot, could you?
