  • I saw them twice on bills with Steve Goodman. Man, I love YouTube. They keep it alive.

  • Holy shit! What a great lineup. I knew Goodman played with Jethro Burns sometimes and wrote a song about Carl Martin but never knew he shared bills with Armstrong. cool.

  • Look up Howard Armstrong or "Louie Bluie" the entire movie is on You tobe as of this month March 2008.

  • "Louie Blueie" is currently (as of March '08)on youtube in about 7 parts. Look it up NOW before it gets bumped off, as to my knowledge this is the only source available for viewing it. I don't believe it is sold as a video, but I could be wrong about that.

  • I am a big fan of Carl Martin and Howard Armstrong

Thank you so much for posting this

  • I saw them during this period. I was 7 or 8, my parents brought me to see them at our local town hall, and then a few weeks later at the Hudson river clearwater revival. after we watched their set, I went to the urinal tent, and Howard Armstrong was wizzing next to me. I said I had seen him a few weeks ago, and he looked at me like, "What is this little peckerwood talking to me for." great moment!

  • Howard Armstrong was an amazing cat. There was a nice little movie made about him called "Louie Blueie".

  • Amazing!!!

Thank you so much for posting this!!
