@GrievousCommander No it wasn't. The CIA grew out of the OSS of WW2. If you look at what the CIA was ACTUALLY up to after WW2, you see a much different picture than fightin' the KGB. The CIA spent alot of time overthrowing governments, like Mossadegh in Iran in 1953. And also in Central America, like in Guatemala. And the CIA's corruption grew from there. Nope. President Kennedy WAS right; we should have smashed the CIA into 1000 pieces.

You're absolutely right-the banks did put them into power. GE and FORD also donated large sums of money to Hitler's campaign. Check this book out, "Walstreet and the Rise of Hitler" by Antony Sutton. He has photocopies of receipts, with the $ amounts donated by American businesses and families. It's a pretty shocking book. He points a lot of fingers and names a lot of names- it's great!
