I haven't heard this mentioned yet... I hear a lot of The Endless Sporadic in your music. I know you all keep getting "sounds like" and "influenced by" statements, but the way that you're merging all of these sounds is completely original in my opinion.

@comeondown Yeah it's just part of being in a band...people feel comfortable with associations, but we don't mind at all. I know who Endless Sporadic are very well but I haven't quite checked them out enough, maybe I should. Appreciate it though, and glad you feel we're original!

@Jazzertron888 I don't really understand the comparison, haha. I mean, we used blast beats for a total of about 15 seconds on the album and I guess that warrants it. They're a kick ass band so I take it as a complement! Good to hear you like it, and definitely check out the album come this fall (I'm demanding you too... : )

@Tetrafusion maybe it's just because you have similar components. like the epic progressive sound mixed with keys and singing, along with the musical skill that you guys are bringing to the table. it's almost like seeing a new, young, potential-filled BTBAM take rise. the writing doesn't have too much to do with it. it's just hard for people to put their finger on why you remind them of BTBAM.

@Jazzertron888 I think the issue here is that we chose to put all of the heaviest stuff within the first 30 seconds of this trailer, purposely to get the "in your face" effect (since it's really a first impression promotional tool, to "grab" them right from the start) -- but we really take complement to what you're saying, believe me. I feel that when people listen to the full album they'll realize how much it really doesn't sound like them...just the fact that the way the trailer was made did.

@lmlJK Not really; 3 of the 7 songs on this album were written in 2005 before any of us listened to them, we don't use harsh vocals at all, we don't have two guitars, we use keyboard dominantly rather than a texture, and simply...we aren't a metal-core band, so I don't see your comparison. Given we draw inspiration from a few of their arrangement styles and genre scaling, but nothing direct enough to say we're similar by any means...

This was my first impression about the trailer. I just found out about u guys a few hours ago lol.. I really look forward to the new studio album.
