@Ichbinsogoschat I think it's an over use of noise reduction. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease! Best bet is to control your audio on the set.

and i'm screwed, because for unreasonable motivation the european version have the sony nex 7 ''castrated'' because the movie are shot at maximum of 50 fps.. for the european format PAL… really!?!? the only good new things in this camera in europe have been limited?!.. too bad sony… too bad...

nex 7 at the "modest" sum of: more than 1000 dollars! wow TWICE more than a normal reflex just because is smaller and lighter.. WOW this is the real revolution that i was waiting for!! expensive more than usual!! I don't get the point of having a "smaller" camera with an equally sized sensor that has the same size, if not bigger lenses. wtf is the point. You still can't fit it in your pocket, it's harder to handle, less ergonomically friendly, less stable, less battery, etc. I'm not saying the NEX series is bad in any way, I just don't get the point over the hype of a "small" camera that really isn't any more portable than a DSLR would be.

@HenrysCameras: Will there be a NEX-7 Twin Bundle or Kit rebate such as the one for the NEX-5N (Purchase of a NEX-5n + Kit lense and you get the 16mm 2.8 for 99$)? Is Sony going to make available an external microphone for the NEX-7? If they don't sell one, is there a port to plug in a third party mic?

This looks like it will be such a great camera for video but an external microphone will be a must have.

i have nex 5 and most of my videos are with nex 5 18-55mm lenses,, i want to buy the 16mm , someone can advice me if the16mm nex lens will couse any distortion when i make videos or pictures???

Is the Nex7 equivalent to a full frame camera? Like if you use 50mm lens will you actually get the whole frame?

@tkudelj1 oh ok. I asked coz i have the NEX5 with a 16mm lens and I also have a Canon 500D with a 16mm-35mm. I noticed with the NEX5 at 16mm it looks a lot wider than the Canon lens at 16mm. Just confuse why the Sony is wider but its not considered full frame.

@arnoldgd84 They have the same focal length multiplier of 1,6x so they should look the same... maybe it seems so because of different LCD displays.... look at this for full frame vs APS-C and others...

The main camera was too far away from the action, that it made it hard for the presenter to effortlessly connect with us. Some editing would have helped too with the flow. Good info, just a bit poorly executed

I was lucky I waited was about to buy the Sony NEX-5 in September... Thanks Sony for finally making a high-end model the NEX-7 has everything I wanted in a camera... So the conclusion I will be forking out almost a £1000 for the NEX-7 since I need the lens bundled package the stupid VAT in UK is high oh well Sony FTW!!!

The Nex 7 with the Carl Zeiss looks awesome but is way too expensive- around $2,300.

@Ronald1Andres2 What is $1,400? Are you thinking of the Nex with the kit lens- the kit lens is not the Carl Zeiss lens. The Zeiss lens costs $1,000 by itself. The kit lens is a zoom lens and is not that impressive. Well, it's a kit lens so you wouldn't expect it to be. The new A77 kit lens looks to be very nice though. Weather sealed and a constant f2.8 aperture.
