Being a Giants fan I always hated The Niners in the 1980's. So many bandwagon Niner fans in my school. But this 49ers team was one of the best I've ever seen! This team was unreal, and in my opinion is one of the top 3 teams in NFL history

The NFL is so much better when the 49ers are on top. One game away this year from the Super Bowl. 2012 we're bringing the Championship back to Frisco. Awesome vid btw.
I love all the hatred... the Packers, defending champs, win 21 of 22 games, then have one bad game where they didnt show up for whatever reason and now they are average at best. Lol. Not better than the Arizona Cardinals? Cowboys? Dolphins? Gimme a break. You clowns know nothing about football. Move along.
@AKordyban What's to like about this year's Packers? Outside of the passing game that produces only in the softest era of football and the best of weather?
@AKordyban i bet you must feel pretty dumb now, do you? And anyone who didnt see it coming knows nothing about Football... But i have been shocked by the 49ers, i had the Saints going to the superbowl...Well now i am rooting for the 49ers and Ravens! Defense-Bowl or Harbaugh-Bowl...
Dumb? no. Bit shocked. They didnt show up. Heavy hearts, nothing to play for pretty much all season. Just didn't have it on that day. No rhythm, poor coaching, drops drops and more drops. Football is all about momentum. I still take the Pack over anyone else in a one off game on a neutral site.
@AKordyban The Packers got exposed by a team that is nowhere near as good as these 49ers and Steelers teams. I'd love to see them try to play that soft offense of theirs against defenses under the old rules. Rodgers would be killed with his tendency to hold onto the ball too long. With him knocked out, there's no offense because McCarthy doesn't believe in running the ball.
And can you imagine what Montana and Marino would do against that GB defense? This year's Packers had no pass rush, and left receivers wide open all season long. Then there's the awful tackling. Which was more like flailing at the air.
@LJS172 rodgers is better when hes being chased out of the pocket, hes far more athletic and mobile than montana and marino. rodgers would kill in any era of the game
@AKordyban lol the Packers of this year wouldn't score 10 points on the 85 bears while Sweetness would run for 150 and 3 Tds. Pack didn't do so well in the playoffs anyways huh?
@AKordyban 78 steelers beat the cowboys by luck.and this is coming from a 49ers fan.steelers kicker slipping on a kickoff and the ball going to randy white who had one broken hand in a cast and he fumbled.if the steeler kicker hadnt slipped that wouldnt have given the steelers a td.and then there was the td pass that hit the cowbots tightend in the chest in the endzone and he dropped it.and then there was the ref getting in the way of charlie waters keeping him from getting to franco harris.
i would put this team up against ANYBODY. the '85 bears, those great steelers steel curtain teams of the 70's, tom brady and the patriots of the new millenium, even those packer teams of the 60's. we were STACKED with such depth and talent from EVERY position.
This America's game episode strikes a particular fear inside my pancreas. I am devistated to find out that this team did not three-peat as it was primed to do so. I am scared and sacred all wrapped into one big ball .
To this day no team has eclipsed Superbowl 24's lopsided score of 55-10! Go Niners!
bittergunowner12 2 hours ago
roger craig fumbling against the giants preventing the 49ers three-peat is almost eclipsed by kyle williams fumbles against the giants.
