Out of all the rockers did this has always been my favorite song of his. One of the few songs from back then that really puts me in a trance. His voice is great here too. He was very underrated when it came to his voice. Sure he was one of the best guitarists ever but he had a great voice.
FYI, the sheetmusic/lyrics for this song were found in Eddie's guitar case after the car crash. I believe this song was meant for Ricky Nelson but he turned it down.
Eddie did so many types of songs, and all very well.
The interviews of him show he was a down to earth guy.
In the words of Shelby Singleton , that this excellence could be on a major label could "never happen in today's world". Thank God it did in the 50's!
Such a great song. Reminds me of how music used to be back in the days. Check out my video of Rock Island's-Blue Blue Lady for another rock n'roll band from the 1970's.
Well, actually it is the Rock n Roll Blues that he is singing so, I really think the melhanconic voice fits it just perfectly. By the way, the lyrics make you understand that is eddie in person telling he's problems so, an happy, sparkling tune wouldn't fit at all with a bluesy song :)
Oh, it's just because Eddie Cochran's tender and soft voice makes this song sound so melancholic. When I mention "other" I'm refering to his hard and harsh riffs and sounds. I love this song!

This song makes me to be lost in thought cause it features an Eddie Cochran other than he is commonly refered to.

What do you mean? If you mean this is different from his big hits? I guess it is but it's still about rock n roll :)
