Just to let you know folks. Motley Crue as you knew or our trying to discover them, was a great band in the early to mid-80's. After that they sucked hairy balls of a mullah! Just being honest folks. They were some great shit in the day, as where Van Halen (pre-1984) or Metallica in the 80's (during Cliff Burton's reign). Most bands are better before they hit the big time. Just my opinion.

Wow. I forgot about the bloody nun they used to have on their drum riser and the tree things with the skulls in them. (I think they gave that drum riser to Ratt after they got big.) Vince used to chainsaw the head off a mannequin and Nikki used to set himself on fire. I loved them in their club days. They kind of lost something when they polished up after "Shout at the Devil" to me....

In their beginning,they lived over the club and they shared a room. It was very poor and they shared a mc do french fries on 4. when Ozzy Osbourne discovered this band their life changed. After 4 months in tour Ozzy said you can make your own show.

Love this song! Nikki is the best and the backbone of this band. Just finished his book, "the Heroine Diaries." GROSS! Trust me, it's amazing he's here today to share the nightmare he lived. I'm not a bass player, just a huge Crue fan, father of 4 that surfs and someone who loves life; he is one of my biggest heroes.

@greeenroooom When they play live the ONLY two that matter as far as JUST music goes are Tommy and Mick when it comes to being the "backbone" of this band... Nikki might write most of the songs. But if you actually look at the first 5 albums, Vince Neil is credited for writing 1/3 of the songs and he is credited for helping to write their BIGGEST hit to date. Namely "Home Sweet Home." Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!

I love the Crue! Been a big fan for a long time. Too Fast For Love is my favorite album. Very Punk! Shout At The Devil is great too as is Dr. Feelgood. Theater of Pain was weak but produced two big commercial hits. Vince Neil has since gotten fat and lost what little voical ability he had, but man they've hung in there haven't they?

@mreoski dude vince hasnt lost any vocal ability...its a shame really becuase the truth is that he can sing every note exactly like he did, he just doesnt put any effort...but believe me he is one of the few singers that still has his voice in shape...no key lowering shit when they play live
