So i tried a heavier product for mu twist out n IM very pleased! I used Jam Conditioning Gel. I love the poofy look too...my problem was my twists weren't totally dry! LOL so it appeared scraggly. :-)

Luvs it!!! YOu said this was done on an old twistout...that twist out was it done on blown out hair? or wet hair stretched over the span of a week or so? Do you already have a vid on how you do the twistout?

The twists were initially done on wet hair. I re-twist on dry hair nightly to preserve the style. Sometimes I mist my hair with water & apply a little olive oil before re-twisting.

I actually like the puffy look. I don't like the way the twist out looks initially after unraveling them. Try using a product with a stronger hold. That should help your twist out keep it's shape and make sure your hair is 100% dry before taking the twists down.
