@JHx86: I just kept the brake booster hose that goes to the intake, the timing advance goes right up to the carb. and the pcv valve which also hooks up onto the intae manifold. that's all you need when running a Weber. + a 12v ignition wire to the carb choke.
I got mine of a weber dealer in California. I ca't remember it was 5 years ago. But you can find them on sale on ebay all the time. Installations was straight forward. I guess it depends in how mechanically inclined you are. It took me 2 hours for the install.
weber carbs direct it hink is where i got mine...like 270 shipped. easy install, deffinate throttle response gain. i would go with the 32/36mm for the most difference.
i have no idea wtf all these parts ur talking about are i just want my mazda to be that legit holy shit bro that head off a 929 can i bolt that to my 90 mazda? the only thing ive done was a header and k&n air filter?????
No, I never mentioned that the head is from a Miata, where did you get that Idea from? Read the description, it says "My head was from a Japanese 929 and my front housing off of a bongo van The intake manifold was from a 1992 Mazda Capella (626) from Norway"
Oh, I see now. JDM engines rock!. I was doing some research and I found this truck with a FE DOHC swap and turbo conversion, you should check it out. I tried to put the link but YouTube won't let me do so. You might as well type "1989 Ford Courier - FE-DOHC Turbo conversion" on Google. It's an Australian Ford Courier (same as the B Series) and its wicked!. The aussie guy's username here on YouTube is: "fredio54". It's an interesting project, just like yours.
I built this engine on the F2 block. The previous 2.0 I had was also an F2, not an FE like the ones from the 85 thru 87 years made for the US. In Japan they had a 2.0 F2 version and that is what I previously had, but I built mine this current motor on a regular 2.2 F2 engine. I have thought about going FI but I like the simplicity of a carb for now. When I do switch, i will definetly add a turbo. :)
Thanks for the response man. I'm kind of envious, but in a good way ;) that engine looks just sick!, I love the way the valves cover looks, keep up the great job.
Just another question: Is that an FE or a F2 block?, I thought you had swapped the 12 valve head into the F2 (2.2) block, guess I got it wrong. Haven't you thought of going fuel injected (FI)?.
I will have to say though. I can rev this thing at a lot higher RPM's and can easily take it to 6000 rpm shifts, I 've taken it up to 6500 rpm without problems or being worried that it will damage the engine. But I will leave it at that. I've taken it up to 85 MPH on third gear, I don't know if that give's you an idea to compare the diference and increase, but my JDM 2.0 motor was descent and better than the stock 2.2 and yet nothing compared to this one :)

MOFLE216 2 years ago
I spent about $350, but they are going for as low as $269 shipped on ebay.

3134902 2 years ago
I say it's about stock, If you really wanted to wake this engine up it would be better with a Weber 38/38 not the 32/36 I have on htere right now.

Excellent adaptation of parts that do not be selfish and give more details of the parts that changed to have a B2200 that pull mas.saludos
ingpacojimenez 2 years ago
so are you saying the head is off a mazda miata and the b2200 carb intake will bolt up? also where did that header come from? is it for a miata?
nitrojoe9 2 years ago

so all of these parts will just bolt together? no mods to the block are necessary? if so awesome! what kind of power?
nitrojoe9 2 years ago
Yep these parts will bolt right up, as long as you can source them. Power should be about the same as a stock 92 MX-6

Any specs, HP, torque?, I just had my engine rebuilt, I have a 1991 Mazda B2200 Cab Plus. I wish I could've swapped the 12 valve head in.
