  • I know its not magic.. he got it wrong -_-

  • lolz i dont get it...........

  • jesus did this really need an explanation? Surely nobody thought it was real magic lol

I love these lame exposing videos. More crap than the origional tricks.

  • Yes, the trick has nothing to do with psychology, it is pure mathematics.

BUT: the story around it, the wrong clue, giving it the name 'prediciton', that all is what a good magician does too.

And that is the point, Mr. Wiseman wanted to show us: we are absolutely fixed on what others pretend to do in the next few seconds, that we don't pay attention to this afterwards. So - when it eventually shows up that all is an illusion - we are all stunned. And this really has to do with psychology.

  • He also uses subliminal messaging at 1:06 by flashing the smiley face really quickly....When you do it the first time and your focused on the pictures, you don't notice it

  • its gonna have something to do with mathmatics or something. its just the first time you do it your freaked but then you find the trick.

  • I don't want a Mercedes I'd much rather have a Porsche.

  • Wow.. they raped a song by Janis Joplin

  • wrong order of cards you have there :D :) C:

  • This has nothing to do with psychology! The squares he removes are not possible to choose. It's that simple. Because he if he counts an even number, every other square is not possible to end on, while the others are. So all you gotta do is keep removing one of the ones that are not possible to chose, until only one is left.

  • @realisticHomeboy I think the psychology part is that people are not able to see how it works, and are then confused at how he knows which square they will land on, no matter which "choices" they make.

  • this is pathetic... i figured it out on the 3rd time i watched it how he managed to do it.. there is trick behind evrething using odd numbers and starting you in a corner was stupid.... but there is a way to beat the system here! gl on figureing it out and dont cheat!

  • ..... i figured it out before the video started when my friend told me about it

  • Is it 'pathetic', or is it just a math trick. Jeez...you should research Wiseman before you slam him.

  • lol there isnt

  • i found it to be the same way. i did the prediction 3 times and i figured out he did it.. my dad lost to it so i had to figure out how if you dont cheat you should not be able to to win unless on the part where he removes the arrows i got him to take away the arrows. i memorized what he removed in the order. and took the odd numbers to my advantage... its tricky at first but its really stupid when you think about it...

  • huh i still dont get it..then again math wasnt my subject

  • Not true.

I did it, and landed on the Q.

My friend did it, and he got the smiley face.

    haha.

  • You probably did it wrong, no offense. >.>

  • You obviously did it wrong... its impossible

  • Wow, you're all a buncha damn liars. The Prediction is obviously the work of our merciful savior and master, Lord Zeus.

  • ..........................................

  • still a cool trick

  • Its all about math. BTW, what is the name of the song that is playing in the background?

  • Mercedes Benz Idk who is singing but it is originally buy Janis Joplin

  • This song is very ironic

  • as soon as i saw it first the video of the prediction i knew it wasnt magic i knew it was math or a trick but its basically both

  • THIS IS EASY

  • I'll admit, it's a lot more fun to not know how "magic" tricks are done. "Magic" tricks all have to do with psychology.

  • i can't even watch this the music is so bad.

  • But you can move back to a square that u have already seen

  • duuuuuuuuuuhhh

  • very thorough

  • David Copperfield used this math trick a bunch of times. The train car trick, flying, and a clock trick. this math trick is an old game.

  • And David Copperfield also did that math trick with a clock trick telling you to pick a number.

  • David Copperfield did this math trick on his magic show when he had the viewers at home move your finger around the cards to pick the train car for him to make disappear.

  • yeah it's all math nigger

  • music sucks fuck

  • @thablackmarkit i love it how this is the most thumbed up comment

  • COOL

  • The key is an odd number!

  • still makes him a pretty smart dude. :)

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaa it supose to be psicology daaaa

not magic or a trick and what about that song ask jesus for a mercedes benz

  • Well, when you're a magician, like me (and probably yoou, nice tomeet you!) it's easy...

  • This is nice, except for one thing.

    Richard Wiseman is a PSYCHOLOGIST.

    Not a magician.

  • whats the song??? i love it!b

  • the song name is call "Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz"

  • no magic?  ;_;

  • nice job moovie makes

  • lol:Ptis is riiigghhtt

  • of course :P

  • richard wiseman is a psychologist, i recently attended a lecture of his where he disproved many common "magic" tricks. He is not pretending to be a magician. Hes just providing the illusion of choice in strictly defined parameters.

    so dont diss him. yeh?

  • Believing in magic is all well and good, llirrem, but Professor Wiseman isn't a magician. It's mathematically impossible for his trick not to work in this case. Unless you screwed up.

  • wow fag

  • yesterdaqy i looked at a new car, why am i tellig you oh sorry i thought this was a spot for useless shit information

well done to the originator of this post as you really are thick as shit

  • you are all party poopers who are going about and pissing on everyones parade just because you dont believe in "magic"

  • Subliminal messages don't actually work. They can persuade you very very slightly if you are aleady thinking about whatever the message is, however; i dont think that even applies here. So, it is very unlikely that the smilie at 1:06 on the original video actually did anything.

  • Ugh. I hate comment spam, but here I am doing it. Okay, I thought it was wrong. Then I thought it was right. Now I realize that it's wrong again - since you can go back on any square, there are couple of times you can get on a non-dotted square that I found. 'Course, none of them were the actual square he removed, so...

  • Oh wait...never mind. xD

  • You know, that's probably part of it, but he tells you that you can go back on one you already went on, which I did like five times, so you don't necessarily have to land on the red dots.

  • How can you go back to the one that you came from, when he tells you to move an odd number?

  • By going in a weird...square-ish thing. Hard to explain. xD

  • @MoovieMaker Lol u suck i went back to one of it without rred dots. fail noob

  • I know it's all mathematical, but isn't it also a maybe that it was influenced by "subliminal messaging"? There was a small, but real quick shot of the smiley face, by itself, in the center of the screen during the video, which happens around :17 I think. Anybody know what I mean?

  • I saw it too!

  • What do you mean? On this video or the original one?

  • there is no subliminal message in the original video.. it's all logic.

it's called "unreturnable odds" not that complicated, but will fool people under the age of 12 for hours.

the flash image around 00:17 had nothing to do with the outcome of the UO.

  • Did you know that if you pause the actual prediction at 1:06 you will see a subliminal message

  • what is it?

  • so..???

  • so what did you prove with this video???

  • Explained how it works, pretty simple.

  • you act like you're de-bunking it. richard wiseman never once says it's magic, in interviews he goes on and on about it all being psychological.

  • it has nothing to do with psychology, it's math you jackass.

  • I like the cut of your jib son

  • This doesn't explain anything..what a worthless video.

  • feelin da song yo! lol

  • if u subscribe to me i will subscribe to u! / / / / if u subscribe to me i will subscribe to u! / / / / if u subscribe to me i will subscribe to u!
  • like the music!!!

  • Wow. I froze the video at exactly 1:06. And there it was. Clear as a bell. The smily post-it, right in the middle of the frame. Now, if it is supposedly pure mathematics, and it is supposedly fool-proof, then why the need for the subliminal frame?

  • Dude it was just a mistake in the video, calm down, it is mathimatical, after the postets are exactly the same as they were befor so it jump didnt do anything

  • It's just that he wanted the smiley to be the image you see when the video is thumb, experienced users know that the picture for a video comes exactly from the middle of the video... it's just that he didn't time it right.

  • he says in his website that it isnt magic. just a mathematical trick, and that you think you are free to choose but you cant.

  • He tells you to move, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 which = 28, and its possible to land on the house.

  • no he maens each time he counts you move one move not 5 moves then six moves then seven moves

  • Why is this comment a bad comment? It is a question...

  • Quite nice one! Good Job!

  • cool :0)

  • Party pooper!!!! - lol

  • if its mathematical then maybe u should know that 9 is not an even number.(i think)

  • the guy didnt claim it was magic and yes its obvious its pure maths but its still a good trick. some things are best left untold or you ruin the enigma - so from me, theres no claim to fame for u for posting this vid =]

  • yeah at 1.06 he subconsciously tells you to pick smiley over q

  • he would have had the colors on the back so we couldn't see anyway. It must be different.

  • he doesn't explain it, he just says than you move

    odd numbered times

  • ur explanation is gay

  • Ur explaination is good, but complicated.

I use odd and even but with a much simpler way.

Color the 9 spots like a chess table. The start will be white, and so on. U have 5 white and 4 black. Makes odd move, u change the color. Even move, u dont. Thats how he knows which one to take out.

  • Indeed, thats how I figured it out. Theres always a set that he can take out.

  • i landed on the Q he sucks

  • me too.and i wasnt sapose to either.instrucion book plz!!!!!!!

  • you did it wrong

  • I suppose you think yourself as a hypnotist as well. Sorry it didn't work on me. Try harder even if your puzle is based on concreet mathematical facts.

  • actually, not only that. but if you pause at 1:06 it basically shows what face youre going to land on lol

  • i knew it wasnt "magic" or anything like that but i can never figure out how these things r done, thank you :)

  • wat was up wit the music?

  • every1 knows that about it, wat does that tell us, wat if we landed on the house or something?

  • THATS COOL and its just mathamatics your right

  • i knew it was in the numbers just didnt know how

  • Thats not it lmao. There's a subliminal message at 1:06.

So. Thats how he does it. This is all bullshit. Don't be fooled!

  • did anyone else notice the subliminal message in the original?

  • Where the smiley face quickly appears for like a second, because I did.

  • it whas just for fun omg! :P

  • mathematics you say...so it is magic :D!!!

  • remember he doesnt tell you that you have to move so theres a prediction in it.

  • well there kind of is a prediction, since he knows if u do it right ull land on the happy face

  • He choose where you come at the end. If he want you to, he could choose the house or an other symbol as well.

  • ;p, ye, got job of telling them of =]

  • who sings this song? i really like it. also thank you for going thru this step by step

  • You are welcome. The song is performed by T-Spoon.
