I loved it when you'd get a new game home, the music would start and thne the graphic would slowly appear on the screen like this, line by line. The anticipation of seeing it for the first time...
@Benjy5997 Old bastard like me got dewey eyed when that appeared. When i was a tiddler, a home computer was still somewhat magical to own, they were pretty primitive but we had great times with the old things!
One of the ocean loaders. I think there is like 5 of them. I don't know which of them this is, or is this some separate ocean game loader. But they all start pretty much the same way. Great stuff! Cheers.
It was good times tho. Nowadays I never look at absolutely anything with as much joy, it's just lost its charm. Back then I could appreciate these loaders and stuff, it was a lot of new stuff and I found it quite miraculous that computers could do these :p
To bencze1: Sad thing is that Sound of a real C64 isn't the same as an emulator. But still it's awesome. But an emulator ins't the same feel like an c64. Sadly.
This is the reason why C64 roms on like PC (well, playing on PSP these days) wont give same feeling as the old one on real C64 gave, cuz of these loading screens. So my question is: Does it exist none cracked roms to C64 that still has the loading screen?
Two minutes of silence...thanks for leaving all that in. On the other hand, I also remember thinking this was the best loading music. Wasn't it also used for Barbarian 2 and that Street Fighter game where the second boss was an impossible to beat woman on roller skates?
this is awesome.

The theme tune (not the ocean loader tune) reminds me of a song ... any ideas? I can't place it.

oldevil 1 year ago
@oldevil with all loader music, if you stopped the game loading, the music would continue to loop, so you could listen to it in it's entirety

@oldevil: yes, loading from tape took some time ;-)

I agree that this definately is the best ocean loader tune... I even recorded it to tape in the grand 'ol days.

These tunes made waiting for the game loading better than the actual game itself lol
