  • Oh...by the way...I see the blues scale and everything...it's when you start flying all over the place that I loose you....Thanks.

  • Fuck this criticalperspective guy. I play a little piano myself. I would give a lot to groove like KJ on my humble piano. I hear him when you play.... When you're in the key of C....what is it that you do on the right hand. What are the scales you're going through to sound like THE MAN. ( please tell us..:)) Anyway. Good job Sir.

  • @slypouliot Thanks for your kind comment

For your question about the scales it's quite impossible for me to answer to this question in a few words...

It take years to my professionel students to understand and be able to play this kind of chords/scales relation

The best advice I can give you is to transcribe solos you love, so you'll see how the musician thinks

    It's exactly what I did when I started because I could'nt find a teatcher

    Take care

  • Very nice job; thanks for sharing your talent

  • @dattilotech Thank you, it's very kind to you

    Take care

  • Haha you are playing in C, and Keith is playing in F. In my opinion the key of F sounds some fresher than the regular C, which is more usual and used.

  • Hey Victooorrrr ! Open your hears man, whith all my respect KJ plays always this blues in C !!!

Try to play all along with him you'll see

    Take care

    S

  • @SergeForte I heard KJ's True Blues before I listened your blues and the true blues is definitely played in F. But maybe I was confused by listening two different things.

  • @victooorrrr Ok please tell me in what cd or video you heard this blues and we'll see !

    Serge

  • @SergeForte youtube.com / watch?v=fK60Jkmf0fw

  • @victooorrrr Ok you find one in F !

But listen to all the others versions they are in C

    Anyway not big deal !

  • Gotta love the dirty, muddy, grindy left hand pattern Jarrett always uses in his blues improvs. It's actually a really stock movement but especially his touch makes it extra deep and juicy. I think you really got the Jarrett spirit flowing in this one, nice!

  • haaa I jut wrote a long message which doesn't want to be posted..I'll try later on

  • Neither do I. I'm just pointing out the fact that most of my music teachers have stressed the importance of not revealing everything from the beginning but rather 'inviting' the audience to discover your notes as they come. Also, being 19 doesn't mean I'm ingnorant about jazz.

    Keep cool.

  • I'm not saying you're ignorant i'm just saying you're pretentious to give advices to everyone without experience !

It's different ! How do you know I'm revelling everything for exemple ? How could you know that ? I'm at home, relax and I have just the feeling to play some blues in KJ way ! And don't worry I'm mega cool...

By the way take a look to my others videos, maybe you'l find one you like

    Take care

    S

  • I didn't mean to offend you. I'm just saying that you have some skills and you could build up a more progressive solo which swiflty carries the audience along with your notes.

  • You reveal everything from the beginning. Make it progressive. There is no more anticipation or surprise for the listener. You have some skills, use them wisely.

  • @Criticalperspective2

Hi man, at 19 years old you seems to have a lot of experience in music to give those critics to everyone...

I wish we could hear you playing the piano to show us a your talent

Beacause i didn't see any videos from you !?

Could you do that for me ?

it would be a pleasure to hear you !

    S

  • rocks!

  • Which solo concerts does Jarrett end with blues improv? Any on Sun Bear?

  • Do you have the sheet????????

  • Hello

There's no sheet, it's an impro in the style of KJ

    Sorry...

    Take care

  • wow....I'm a guitar player, but now it woke up a desire to play like this, too, at 40% will be good...very bluesy...

  • Thanks man ! I will put more videos but after june 13th because I'm in charge of a 1st time jazz festival in Paris "Jazz à Vian" and it's a lot of work !

Ps : You could try "groove on" !!!

    Take care

    S

Jazz on(??).. hmm doesnt quite have the same ring : )~ haha

  • Man your groove and soloing is bad-ass! But why are you not playing a 12 bar blues? Every time I expect to hear the top you go to the 4 chord... 8 bar blues? Wtf?

  • Nice use of the Paris blues - Good job -)

  • wow...simply amazing!

  • Thanks !

It's fun to play this and I'm glad you enjoy it !

    Yours

    S
