South Auckland residents are just like any other residents around the whole of New Zealand. Why is it that "Criminals are only from South Auckland?". South Auckland residents are just like any other residents around the whole of New Zealand. Why is it that "Criminals are only from South Auckland?". Is it because the majority of residents in Sth Akl made amongst Pacific Islanders/Maori? Not to say that I'm denying the fact the PI's and Maoris commit the most crime in NZ but what I can question is how many of those actual criminals actually reside in Sth AKl?

@lekap Christchurch is the criminal capital of NZ believe it or not.The media loves to demonize South Aucklanders; undeservedly too when you consider that Pacific Islanders only account for 9% of crime in NZ

How fair is that to label south aucklanders in that way when others like myself truely enjoy the suburb in south akl that I have been residing in for the past 18 yrs? Melissa lee considered as a representative of our NZ prime minister, when she states a highly irrational comment like that, it only offends residents like myself who have grown to love south auckland. So in saying this I believe you are just as low, uneducated and racist just like Melissa Lee.

If you think we need more people like Melissa Lee then you are wrong. What we need is equalness in leadership. What we need is a leader with vision and BRAINS. We need someone who can looker at the wider view and approach members of the public with statements that they can help the whole of the community not just partially. I believe you yourself would be offended if your hometown was labelled as CRIMINALS.

As a long standing sth aucklander I absolutely enjoy being a part of this community and as having all my close family and extended family who are all made up of lawyers, doctors, lecturers, CEO, managers of well recognised companies and they ALL live in SOUTHAUCKLAND and to what I know they are really hard working people. So really melissa lee isn't someone who would make a great leader, well at least not after her statement and her look on NZ now hahaha.

Given recent comments about the motorway stopping South Aucklanders from commiting crime in Mt Albert, Lee also doesnt seem like the smartest cookie on the block. It takes two to tango in an employment dispute. I do find it unsettling though that a prospective MP has ownership over a media outlet regardless of what she says about "having no editorial input.". I mean are we really supposed to believe that? It smells dodgy

I did notice tv3 did random reports on some unknown guy in a house somewhere just because he was an avid labour supporter.
does this mean that labour was using tv3 to fund electioneering ?
