@Staatsmacht12 Just like in Libya, the rebels were really fighting on behalf of Western nations. That isn't civilised. The Belgian king wasn't civilised when he forced Zaire into slavery, and the Europeans who support the tin ore slave trade in the Congo aren't civilised either.
People can be civilised, but living in the West doesn't necessarily make you so.
@57worldwide I agree , it's the west that put the general negativity and brutality in to Africa with it's slavery. Afrika has been the dumphole of the world for centuries what else can you expect ?
@Silverhazed It's like something I heard, "We live in a technologically advanced society. Many people in the West confuse technology with civilisation."
We all make the mistake of assuming our society is morally correct. We compare others with our culture and society, and anything which is different can be seen as others' being inferior, inefficient, etc.
We all need to realise, while our own society can be improved, we cannot assume it is automatically good and we must stop dictating to others.
@TheCelticmaori What you are doing is using our society as a point of comparison. It is stupid to do so.
For someone that doesn't want to live in our society, it may not be a billion times better at all. It may be far worse. If you were a greenie, for example, you might think traditional Maori society or indigenous Plains American society is a billion times better. What you consider better depends on what you value.
This is soooo SAD. I am so sorry for the poor people there. No wonder God has abandoned us all. Look what we do to each other. Even Satan cannot think of such cruelity....
@Locked29 These people have never learned that death is a negative thing , never got satisfied with money , power or love or never understood the value of it. It's a war drum calling , it's tempting for those who are led by emotion and ecspecially tempting for the kids. We all crave status and power as kid , adult's teach us that it's not everything.
With all this arround you and dead parents , things can turn bad.
@anotherlameaccount, just like I thought u are actually a retard so let me break it down for you. The various atrocities whites have committed in this world far outweighs what happened in this video.
@anotherlameaccount , you are such a self righteous fool it amazes me, i suppose the rebels were buying guns and ammunition from fellow blacks who knew what they were being used for,
@Steve181 right on steve... you're obviously the product of some redneck school district that is so unfortunate to be unable to create a decent social studies curriculum. there's hope for you though.. and it's called the library. take some time out of your cow tipping adventures to check it out. i promise you'll be amazed.
@chellesEVOL and you're obviously the product of some liberal college that brainwashed you with leftist propaganda. there's hope for you though.. and it's called stormfront. take some time to check it out. i promise you'll be amazed.
i love this documentary. the guy who lived with the rebels has some real balls. i htink its funny how taylor tries to deliver some big gettysburg address speech. this is also cool to me cause im the same age (15 in 03) as these guys. glad i wasnt born in west africa
@bobmoore20 Tim Hetherington, who lived with the rebels in this Liberian conflict, died a few months ago in Libya covering the conflict there. He is almost solely responsible for the footage from this documentary, for the footage of the "Devil came on horseback" documenting Darfur, and "Restrepo" which documented an American unit in one of the hottest Taliban beds in Afghanistan. He died in Libya shortly after the conflict began while covering that war.
@flyboys367 im from a small town in east texas. im saying im lucky that i was born into a place that wasnt in civil war because im the same age as all these young african boys when this doc was filmed. im not saying its a bad place, just very rough and violent
@Amono646 yea i guess that would be more acurate, what i meant was sierra leone, liberia, guinea, really any place where as a young man you would have to kill other young men

those folks are not ready for western civilisation.
unfortunately they allready have our weapons.
without the white man those fights would only occur in some bush-regions.
