Cuernos, Compa! Te habla, Tomas' FLHTom1948,y bien sabes de donde! Me gusta tu playera. Mi esposa es de Oaxaca. Now, for those of you who don't like to do it Old Skool(with a clutch), they sell an autoClutching suicide shift now. I had a '42 suicide shift with NO frt. brake, back in the day.(we threw away the frt. brake, didn't hardly work, anyway). So, on a hill you were really busy. Worst case: just gas the hell out of it! Y para la gente criticona: q. se chingen sus madres. Jajaja
Very nice bike!! I always understood this setup to be a jockey shift, and when you run it with no front brake(like the old school choppers), then it's a suicide. I really wanna do this setup on my dyna...thinking about adding a brake lock that can be controlled by a button mounted on the shifter knob to help on those hill stops.
@jimdsnow they do make a brake lock that releases as you let out the clutch its on some honda goldwings so i think u might be able to find something to adapt to your bike
Hay man ,Greate scoot. I like the jock shift, but the suicide cluch "hell no" I ride a 51 pan with jock shift and suicide cluch.I was sitting on a little hill at light, had to lean over to the lift. I could not get it out of gear before I lost my balance and had to put my foot down, seven surgeries and 11/2 yrs in a wheel chair The old cluch was trashed and new set up on now!!!!! Save your self ,it is cool but ,not worth the pan and lost rides!!
I hate people who leave comments that basically say "You should have made YOUR bike the way I like it, and not the way you like it since its yours and not mine" I think when I build something I'm gonna build it for the anonymous random youtuber and not myself. I like your bike the way it is.
that looks like an '03 wide glide in gunmetal pearl? I'm looking at one for sale right now, that color is really sharp in the sun I love it. like the seat, like the bars, really nice bike . be safe out there!!!
@chopperkeith You've got it backwards friend. Jockey was the rocker pedal that allowed constant disengagement. You are partially correct, this Dyna is a jockey SHIFT, but has a suicide CLUTCH.
I have a sportster that has a mean rake on it and i use a suicide. Mounting the shifter up by the tank makes it alot easier to shift in corners and parking lots.
Is that a Québec tag? Looks like a lot of work! Does the foot clutch ever get you in a bind? Great bike, you are quite respectful of your neighbors with the sound levels.
Looks like a La Briola set up. Did the same thing to my 2007 Wide Glide. 11" rear shocks, drop front 2", 180 rear tire, 16" apes and the same jockey shift - foot clutch as yours. Fricken love it. Check it out.

@666silversurfer Te felicito por tu moto. @446447 ---it takes a minute. Once you do it you're over the hard to learn factor. Now clutch on a suicide shifter is mofo. That takes a little longer. lol

Nice ride, sounds and looks perfect - but, suicide shift on a Dyna and the selector behind your leg? Great engineering and all, but I ride a WLA with the old suicide shift, and all things considered, day to day, I'd stick with the hand clutch thanks.....Thanks for posting....never seen a conversion like that.
A throw back to the EARLY days of motorcycles - look at the left handlebar. NO CLUTCH LEVER! He's working the clutch with his left foot - and shifting gears with his left hand.
The thing he was ADJUSTING was the shift lever. The bike looks great - I can't imagine a more asinine thing to do to your bike. EVERYSINGLE TIME you go to stop - you have to either use ONLY your right leg to hold the bike up while holding the clutch left foot or neutral.
Yes and no, I prepare for every stop ahead of time, and shift to neutral just before I fully stop. I have also been ridin, for more than 30 years, and raced Superbikes for 6 years, so that's a lot of experience. I have a couple of close calls per year, as I am sure other bikers do, and my set up works just fine.....................plus I like it....
When you took off I wondered if the clutch was being worked with the left foot. I had not seen this setup in action before either and always wondered how people were able to go with no clutch lever. Nice looking ride.
Bars, Seat, Head Light, dropped front and back, suicide shift, side plate, mirrors, chrome calipers, some chrome accents, jet kit, pipes. All of which is done by us, in that drive way. Lots and lots of time in this bike.
I think it's a cool ass bike bro. If it's your baby then piss on whatever any critical mf's say. Stay safe and ride forever. I am.
