Jango Fett is a mandalorian. If you played Kotor 1 they have mandalorian armor that belonged to a guy that had the last name Fett. Plus, the mandalorians in Force Unleashed have practically the same armor as Jango. And since Jango Fett was the original. The clones are mandalorians.

Uh, its impossible that the Republic could put a base on Mandalore. Most of the Mandalorians were CIS anyway, and the few that weren't didnt really work for the Republic so much as themselves and the Clone troops.
