Why Arsenal did better against Barça is because they're better than United at counter attacks. Against Barça you're not gonna see a lot of the ball and United is simply more dependent on posession to win games.

But if Ferguson believes it is necessary to ban him in order to minimize the hostility being brought up and protect his player then so be it.
