  • love this video. reminds me of my ballet classes. need to get back into the swing of things of going to classes instead of practing at home lol they way they dance is so graceful especially on pointe. good students and sounds like a good teacher.

  • I think they have two sets of shoes- one that is demi-pointe or soft shoes and one that are pointes

  • is this class using a live pianist or is it a cd. I like the music and wish I had something like it for my classes

  • It was a CD that day.

  • the first part is the waltz from Tales of Hoffman, I learned how to play that when I used to study piano.

  • @huixue The first piece was a piano version of Barcarolle/Night of Stars from the opera Tales of Hoffmann. The second piece was from the opera Carmen. The third piece was The Blue Danube, a Viennese waltz.

  • @ballerinawannabe1991

    Thank you!

  • @ballerinawannabe1991 thank you for your detailed reply

  • Wow good ;D

  • Nice! Is this like a school where students take Ballet full time or is a studio with classes only?

  • The placement of the mirror is useless for barre exercises.

  • wow, beeeautiful class

  • one girls pointe shoes look way to big .

  • Our morning class is from 7:30 to 10:30. (am)

Then we have a afternoon class from 1:00 to 5:00 (pm)

    On Saturday.

    Weekdays : 3:30 to 4:30 (pm)

And they give us only 2 hours 30 min for homework and food. and a lil break.

    Weekdays: 7:00 to 9:00 (pm)

But my class is on a professional level. and we do competitive class.

But I think they should work on Arches when they go up. And some of them aren't even doing anything at random times.

  • I've never seen any dancers with earrings

  • in classes we wear them, in exams or shows we aren't aloud.

  • me tooo!:)) and how come in this vide, they're wearing make up and etc??

  • they live in switzerland? cause theyre speaking english. anyways...the only problem with this class is the different levels these girls are. Some are realllly good and others not so much. Its hard to combine all different levels in one class

  • it is.i have taken classes like that.

  • these are soft pointe shoes.

meaning the shank is broken and taken out, so you dont usually go up on pointe.

but you can.. which is why they do it sometimes

  • the girl with the white stripe on her leotard puts all her weight on her pointed foot in tendu at about 1:30. she needs to keep herself centered on her stamding leg and pull up in her core. she has lovely feet en point though!!!

  • I agree with luvballet5. She deff needs to keep herself centered. They all have a pretty good atitude though:) other than that its verry nice to watch. I train with ARB. I think this looks like a really good school

  • they're so good

  • Comment removed

  • Very good!

    Love from holland!

  • I'd love to go to this school but i do live in England ::(

  • Very nice class to watch. The dancers have clean lines and good technicque. Pleasant to see good dancers and nice teacher.

    Good Work!

    Hugs from Brazil

  • whats the point of wearing pointe shoes when they did releves on demi pointe. seriously

  • it helps strengthen

  • some of the girls aren't on the same counts as everyone in somethings

  • i love this. especially all the ballet skirts twirling in the pirouettes.

  • Thats on my birthday!

  • wow...

  • count your self lucky that you do ballet because my parents cant aford it and ballet is my dream so now my dance teacher and my friend teaches me for free i wish i could go to a real ballet school but i have no money but my friend does go to ballet and she is on point so she is teaching me point now she even gave me her pointe shoes because she has 3 pairs of them

  • sounds just like me :(

i wish i had the money to go professional ...

being a ballerina is my dream .

i love dancing so much .

good luck with your dancing !!

i hope you make it ..

  • have you tried for a scholership? I know not all ballet schools give them, but if the one your friend goes to does...then you should try. Its just a suggestion if you think its worth a try.

  • AS a male, I usually get discounts. Of course, I am busy with Nutcracker now...

  • good luck and some balllet schools have a free class callled step up my school anaheim ballet has a class like that if u live by anaheim u should check it out

  • some fo them arent holding their backs and upper bodies the right way

  • Oh come on, these are girls at a LESSON. Don't expect them to be perfect, that's why they're there, to work on things.

  • I love a good saturday morning Ballet class, its like Bodypoetry says, it perks up the soul

  • Nothing likew a saturday morning class to perk up the soul. Everything else leaves the mind except the dance moment.

  • i like watching ballet,

    but doing it....that's another story.

jazz is so much more fun.

  • right. classical ballet is too woody ..

and you need years and years exercising it and doing basics so you can start expressing emotions till you dance.

I know, cuz I ve doing ballet 10 years

But, after all it`s beautiful..like there`s no gravity..

  • I disagree! Ballet is funner to do than jazz because you don't have to throw your body around as much

  • but that's the fun part!

    lol.

  • the girl who was in susu needs to not stick her but out and keep her legs perpendicular to the floor.. itll make her feet look better.. think about keeping ur hips on the same point in space cuz u move ur hips everything else moves

  • its a class.

thats when you work on things

  • I meant of course the comment from Barrextending (2 months ago)! Thanks again!!

  • deaar she´s gonna kill someone with those earrings!

  • is this an adult ballet class ?

    Oh I love it....

  • I'd like to be in that group by the way haha

and I think the tall girl in black is better than the one in pink.. pink one just finished an arabesque line way too open

  • I just noticed that you guys are not doing relevé in arabesque.. you're doing some kind of rise, its interesting.. but I dunno if its ok! However I loooooved the music you're using for your lesson.. so inspiring! Do you have a piano player?

  • why arent yall going on pointe on your piruoettes

  • THATS EXACTLY WHAT I NOTICED TO!!

  • The girl in the pink has the best technique

  • it's Perfect!

  • whyy are they all on relevae in pointe pointe shoes?? in the beginnig

  • Gorgeous turns :)

  • that's a good group of dancers,,,they're concentrating and working hard,,,no slackers.

    bravo.

  • :) this is how my saturday class is too heyy.. which i is doin 2moro! :] hehe cool cool in switzerland tooo. haha

  • I love the girl they show for about the first 30 seconds of the clip! She is amazing. She must have been dancing since she could walk...so fluid and graceful...bravo!

  • I love her because she looks like she loves what she's doing.

  • I thank you so very much!!!That's the best compliment I have ever received!Almost a guess-since I was 8y.o. actually:)Many thanks!!!

  • whoa! howd you make your pic move!?

  • Youtube used to allow you to upload an animated GIF as your avatar. Unfortunately, not any more...

  • my saturday morning class is a modern class! :) Ballet is just about every other day!

  • Wow!! What feet!! We do the first 2 combinations in my class.

  • can u actually wear that much make up in class? during the lesson?

  • they probably shouldn't

  • they wanted to look good for youtube.

  • oops i posted that commment too soon....y are u turning on demi pointe? k nevermind that is nothing like my class

  • that looks a lot like my saturday morning class =) haha except our teacher is a guy and hes hilarious but really LOUD sumtimes. and im the youngest one in my class too. im only 14 and i dance with all 16-19 year olds

  • Wow, you must be really good!

  • That looks like fun ^_^

  • i love the girl at 2:42's leotard

  • girl in the black leotard needs to make sure she hits all three 'spots' in her rond de jambe

  • they're all in black leotards...

  • wow what a turn out

  • Wow it looks slick.

  • ballet is a great thing to do. it builds up strength in all your muscles and it helps you to become flexible even if you aren't when you first start out.

  • How do you do that thing at the beginning with the leg swishing and the the bending and the aribesque?? And what's it called. Explain in simple words b/c I love to dance ballet but never took classes. Blue Danube=123,123,123...lol

  • They are called rond de jambes a terre - the leg makes a semicircle on the floor. They can go either inwards or outwards (the first here are outwards: en dehors). Sometimes, in the earlier stages of ballet, they are done just half a semicircle, front to side or back to side. This video shoes beautiful examples, especially the first dancer.

  • I still don't get it. :"(

  • Stand on one leg, point your other foot in front, and bring it around to the back in a semi circle movement. And repeat. Watch the video and copy...add in the bend when you have the first movement right. Then you can reverse the exercise.

  • i want to be in ballet alot, but im not flexible... ;[

  • You can become flexible. Do stretching exercises every day - it works!

  • thx, today i rode my bike to the ballet place down my street and got all the costs and stuff but then i saw how flexible they were in there and looked really hard! ballet has always been my dream! but it looked so hard.

  • Don't think about how hard it is, but about how much you want to do it. Don't give up before even starting. Of course you will need to work hard to achieve anything!

  • Thanks alot for the advice! but can you give me some tips about how to start ballet?? People say I look really fit,but im not so flexible and fit. have any advice you could give me on how to look and feel while doing ballet??

  • Find a good school and a good teacher and he/she will give you tips and good advice to follow.

  • I dont have to be flexible??

  • u dont have to be flexible

  • Hi!I am the "girl with the red hair":)Thanks for the comment-i never dream of not finishing my rond de jambe a terre anymore;)huge thanks!!

  • what school or company is this?

  • one has tooooo much eyeliner!!! haha

but omg this is thet song from "life is beautiful" I LOVE THAT MOVIE <3333

  • where is this video from??

  • I love the studio ambience

  • wow. this is the kind of stuff we do and we're all teens and its ballet 2. [[thats comes before ponite]]

  • the person with red hair dosnt go all the way around in her ronds.

  • this is a lovely video. They all have good technique :)

  • all gorgeous

  • Wow...amazing..all of them. Makes me jealous.

  • amazing! the girl in pink has lovely feet
