Oh god do I hate this movie so much, it totally destroys what the first one had I mean they didn't even need a sequel. Furthermore the animation is crap compared to the beauty of the original, the villain is a flaming fagot and isn't even in the same league as Frollo, its just a complete piece of shit.
Did they honestly think that the villain for this movie--a narcissistic, clowning performer-- would beat FROLLO?! What were they thinking? If Quasimodo could survive long enough away from Frollo, did they honestly think he wouldn't match the "cunning" of this pansy?
This movie would most likely be better if there was more Clopin. Due to the obnoxiously large lack of him, however, I find myself cringing while watching this movie. Or maybe it's just me.

@moonblaze1000 well i agree that the sequels should be good.. but you can't blame them for not being able to measure up to the originals man. Most of these originals were gold and they put a lot of effort into them, it's tough to even barely match not to mention surpass it
@crzyflasher I know that. Masterpieces like a lot of the older Disney movies were can't be topped, but still, if you have to make a sequel, it has to at least do the original movie justice!

While not the best Disney sequel, it's certainly not the worst. I didn't hate it completely. People are just holding it to the standard of the first film too much.

If they were going to do a sequel, they could have done it with a little more passion to match the original, instead of just thinking of how much money they were going to make with a sequel.
I think when you read "passion",i think you ment with the characters, i ment the overall quality of the animation. The characters have great emotion, and feeling to them...the animation just doesn't do it justice in my opinion.
I think it was all about money. They just wanted to make some money off the original by making a sequel......Which, in my opinion, is just stupid. The original was great, it had alot of feeling, and a great deal of work was put into it....The sequel just looks likes it was thrown out there. It's sad really...

The second film was a typical "I'm sad, find me someone to love" movie.
