Did they somehow have a technology upgrade even tho everyone was "dead"? I mean, GLaDOS is back in her chamber and mostly repaired, she looks completely different, she actually looks at you, and her voice has more personality in it. The personality cores have real "faces", the Weighted cubes look different, the chamber doors look different, and they have a different elavator system. Also, the test chambers they took from the first game are built differently.

You know, of all the scary things I've experienced in all my years of gaming. Being chased through a maze by aliens with my pulse rifle ammo running low. Sneaking through Silent Hill with nothing but a bit of rusty pipe to swing around. Stepping into the final chamber in Tomb Raider 2 when I knew the corpse on the table was going to explode into a giant dragon if I went near it. None of it compares to watching Glados waking up right in front of me.
