  • I use 2007 and 2009 pro premier or Asulogics disk defrag, Windows including defrag program (basically Windows 2000) sucks.

  • Yes i agree: Best Disk Defragmenter Is Still Diskeeper

  • "Work on the background" means when you turn off the application, it is still defragmenting?

  • $56 for home version is quite expensive though, especially if its just a defragger. However im still going to try the trial and see how it goes.

  • my defualt defrag dont work anymore i dont know why but is there one for free

  • my pc was going slow i just used the built in win 7 defragmenter and whalla fast as pie now

  • NO the win 7 one is the best

  • PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT FUCK OFF WITH THIS SHIT. ITS PERFECT DISK. HANDS DOWN. FREE SHIT IS GARBAGE AND ALL SHOW. HAVE TESTED THESE TIME AND TIME AGAIN. PERFECT DISK IS!! THE BEST. END OF STORY.

  • @Youareatroller Thank you for your intelligent and insightful comment.

  • @goldtrail49 Anytime. Good to know im right

  • the default window's defragmenter seems to be doing it's job fine, why should I buy this one?

  • are you a robot?

  • sir what if you will not defragment the hardisks, what will happen to your computer??and what is the regular time for defragmentation??

  • I got DK 2010 as an upgrade from 2008, and they STILL have not fixed the bug where invisitasking continues to run when on battery on some systems. On my Dell Studio 15, it keeps right on running, greatly decreasing battery life so I have to manually disable the service.

Other than that bug, the product works perfectly, although the interface does need an overhaul.

  • @tipoomaster I don't have much experience with laptops. i have a Gateway I've used maybe twice in 3 years! So I can't speak to battery life. I'm glad you reported this, though, AND a solution. This will help others, I'm sure. Thank you :-)

I agree, the DK interface could use a bit more "user friendliness." It's a bit of a techie thing. I admit I don't know my way around many of its features, even after using it for a number of years :-/ It's always worked on my PC's.

  • @stemawi laptops are pcs jsut smaller lol

  • thanks dude.

    ;)

  • i I have always understood why the USA is a stupid people I do not mean for you

  • good video,

  • You must be thinking of the Diskeeper 2010 "Server." The price range for Diskeeper runs from $60 - 110, depending on feature selection. Trial versions are available - Try before you commit.

  • I get an error every time I try and do Manual Defrag, it wont let me, I tried reinstalling it too.

  • I think I saw that myself with the new 2010 version. My best guess is that if you have automation turned on and running, it doesn't let you do a manual, to avoid possible conflicts and/or "over defragging." Check with Diskeeper support. They're usually very responsive.

On a side note, external USB-type devices do not require defragmentation for the most part. Regular or frequent defragging can cause more harm than good - or so I've been told.

  • Definitely think Diskeeper is the best defragger out there! The low free space defrag and intelliwrite which helps prevent fragmentation is really cool.

  • Better than Ultimate Drag 2008?

  • @DreamHaters Had Ultimate Defrag for a while, back while testing. It's very sophisticated and does a good job. It *looked* funky, though, and it took forever to complete the job. People have their preferences, and I don't badmouth things that don't deserve it :-)

  • AtoDiTO robocopp

  • is there a defragmenter that defrags in a loop until you tell it to stop?

  • I don't believe so. Defrag is a job that needs to be done when your computer needs it. There are defrag programs that you can set a "schedule" for, though. The beauty of Diskeeper is that it runs in the background, monitoring and defragging unattended when your drive needs it.

  • windows is really dropping the ball on there builtin defragger. this is the kinda stuff that should be default. Linux is way smarter then windows, you never have to defrag it ever and thats why i love it. good video

  • lol you sound like microsoft sam? :D

  • thats what i thought too!!! .. i imidiatly thought .. omg its microsoft sam! .. is it? ! :P

  • lol, I once worked for a call center, and I swear I spoke to the women that said the line for telephones... "The number you have dialed is out of service, Please hang up and try your call again" lol, I was going to say something but wasn't sure if I would get in trouble (They are fussy about that stuff)

  • LOL! I wonder if I should take that as a compliment :-)

  • I just got a comment on another video that said I sound like Axl Rose of GnR. I think I should feel complimented either way :-)

  • Diskeeper is a Scientology Front. So go to hell.

  • accidently rated it 1 star, I was going to pause the video, and hit that. sorry

  • oops I accidently hit the thumbs down because I was balls deep in some guys asshole last night. Kinda threw me off.

  • lol, thumbs up for that great sense of humor :)

  • hahaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Where'd you get that robot voice?

  • nice robot voice.

  • I'm using O&O Defrag 11 Professional, because my copy of Diskeeper 2009 Pro Premier doesn't work on Windows 7 64 bit

it seems to work pretty good too... have yet to decide which one is better tho.

  • That's good for people to know. Thanks for posting it. I'm sure by the time Windows 7 gets to final release, Diskeeper will have been updated.

  • using PerfectDisk now, lol, seems to work good too haha, can't really go wrong with any of them really.

  • i got it's the premium pro..it's good!..before i never defragged at all..lol but i always saw the microsoft one that comes with the o/s but never fooled around with it...it was not until i bought a intel MB where the demo come with it i knew...damn i'm drunk!

  • yes it is the best

  • Amazing, i will begin use it myself

  • it is............the best
