We did a blacklight set for our VBS last year and it was a hit! We used the "Jazz" brand fluorescent paint, it took at least 2 coats, but it looked great. If you want to check it out go to Central Assembly, Beach Party VBS. Kids (and adults) were like "wow!"

I use Luma Series blacklight paint -- I was able to get it from Spencer's gifts in my area. They may not sell it anymore though. Also, it's important to use fluorescent blacklight fixtures instead of incandescent -- the incandescent bulbs are too weak. 50" blacklight fixtures are generally good. the 12-24" kind are a mixed bag.
