it seems like, throughout history, for people to do something about a bad situation, something horrible has to happen first. just an observation...shame

Imagine... 100 years ago, nearly 200 young women burned or jumped to their death as a result of unsafe working conditions, working conditions that the factory owners were well aware of, but refused to do anything about. Later, they are acquitted of any wrongdoing and would have gone back to business as usual had laws not been passed to make working safer in this country. They are not perfect, but anyone who believes that unions be abolished must watch this clip and the next one.
