  • The only time I use a crop as punishment is when my horse refuses a jump and I wasn't at fault

  • She doesn't seem very comfortable on him. That combined with the fact she was so harsh in his mouth and using a crop as a punishment she probably shouldn't be riding this horse. She's probably going to make him hard in the mouth, if he isn't already. Using a crop as a form of punishment is never acceptable. They are an aid, or an extension of your arm not something to beat your damn horse with.

  • What an honest pony.

  • @pvkris

I agree 100%. The pony shouldn't be blamed for poor riding

  • Shorter reins and a better position would be a good idea. He's "not listening" cause you're not telling him clearly. Just constructive critisism btw, not being mean! Nice horse (:

  • Oh my friend rode piggy last week and he started galloping off...

  • I know in the description, you said she was pulling on his mouth and using the crop on him to teach him a lesson. Let me get one thing straight. The bit should NEVER ever be used as punishment or to "teach the horse a lesson". The horse has an incredibly tender and sensitive mouth. The bit should really be used to turn or stop GENTLY. I don't agree with using the crop as punishment. The only time I ever use one is when my horse is going slow and not responding to my leg and even then, it's a l

  • @TheRosewithoutathorn I AGREE!!! As you can see, this is my friend, and she is a much better rider here, she had only been riding for about 5 months at this point

  • This was a VERY interesting video. Here's what I see: Ziggy the pony walks on water. A very willing, lovely pony who was, in fact, listening as best he could. Rider was giving inconsistent and conflicting signals, including but not limited to kicking and pulling at the same time, unequal rein pressure, unequal leg pressure, displaying temper, and smacking the pony for no apparent reason. When confused, the pony broke to a trot. Pony has more patience with rider than I would have!

  • @pvkris I agree, this is completely not that pony's fault! Tap him with the crop, sure, but don't tug him and act like a nut while doing it!

  • @pvkris some people indeed don't understand :(

  • @pvkris you are so right this is terrible the rider should know that horses have very sensitive mouths and you only use the bit to stop or turn your horse. it was very stupid that she was going to emergency dismount because it was not necasary.

  • @11mscanter Guys keep in mind this sint me and yes she was a horrible rider then but she isnt now she knows better!

  • k don't leen forward when u ask to canter or do anything when u ask a horse to do something u ask the but then the front just follows k

  • @Breyer411 this isnt me and its from a long time ago!

  • @HrsLvr47578 i apologize and i did not say it was u i was just giving some advised

  • I have some advice, when your cantering dont rest you hands on his neck. sit and keep your butt in the saddle. now, dont get so hiped up with your trainer she knows more than you by far and is trying to teach you. Also if your pony is acting like that again just smach him one and use LOTS of leg!!

  • @applespbj I understand this. This is my friend Sara, she is doing a lot better now, this was almost a year ago. Read the descrip. >.>

  • i would NOT like to be the riders friend! the is proberly behaving like dat coz hes seen her face!

  • stupid idiotic rider! shes soo mean

  • Meant there

  • Is that by any change at Baskin Farm? I used to ride their but I moved.

  • @BORED560 you said "ur"

  • @BORED560 I understand this >.> this ISNT me, i have to say ONCE AGAIN. She's a better rider now and they were both having a bad day.

  • Obviously there is a communication problem here...a crop is for riders who aren't properly trained work with their horse. I feel sorry for those who have to need to "control" their horses.

  • @calSKAtinesKitty me too! :S

  • ummm im sorry but my horse is wayy worse tthan that i wouldnt do that to her, plus mabye she should try sitting up ( no wonder hes not stopping) and haing the reins shorter :L what i call being naught is rearing so that you hit cars and fly bucking and also galloping down a road and having to be pulled up by a strange man...not not cantering

  • @bluebellrox123 ik ik she isntg a very good rider

  • @HrsLvr47578 im sure that she'll het better though :)

  • whipping is never a correction. Its where knowledge ends and frustration begins.

  • @jennifermcdermott1 I know, Sara has some... aids issues xD She's getting way better though.

  • No offence. i'm sure she's a great rider. However if i were her i'd have sat back on my butt to use my body & seat to control speed, when you're in stand-up you can't do that. Also, not being rude, but how an you expect a pony to feel any aids when the reins are like washing lines?

  • @cheekylibs Ik Ik, this was a whiel ago as I said. Sara is getting alot better. I'm using my new video program to make some more vids but it is SOOOO slow lol!

  • imo imo imo

that was all rider fault and the pony was a saint for putting up with it

  • @HolliverTwist whats imo? And it was not the rider, Ziggy was being very bad!

  • @HrsLvr47578 in my opinion

  • wow, try looking ahead instead of the horses ears

  • @vhou555 1) this isnt me 2) dont be rude, shes a great rider, and 3) did you bother reading above?
