Modifying Joomla templates is all about web development... it's not some secret hidden tools... therefore using something like firebug is essential.

In order to build your own Joomla templates you need to understand HTML/PHP/CSS.

@controllerbrain Which one? that this should have been a separate video? Yes. Don't title a film how to make a sandwich when the entire first part is all about installing a fridge in your house. Don't get me wrong I like firebug and I understand why do it, but the title of this video should be "Setting up your Environment" or something. I understand they are part of a series so it makes sense but I would of skipped this entire segment.

On second viewing I misunderstood your tone. Also, Chrome does have some neat ways to view the breakdown of the page it doesn't have the ability to see what edits would be which is pretty tits.

Probably uneccessary to spend all that time telling people to upgrade to firefox. Not really funny and kind of irritated me that I sat through it. Also, Google Chrome is fantastic so.....

That aside, good tutorial on something that isn't covered by a lot of people and is integral to running a Joomla page
