you can't compare a race motorcycle with a street motorcycle hayabusa could be faster on the straight line but there's no way can beat a race motogp bike on a race track
Funny, I own a Ducati now (having owned a range of other bikes in the past including Hondas, Yamahas, Triumph, Norton) and I maintain my wife's Kawi Ninja, and so far, I've not needed to adjust the desmo valves once. But okay...
No no no - I don't own a Desmosedicci RR, I own a Ducati 748 Biposto - it's a desmoquattro engine, and thus has desmodromic valving (actively pushed closed by a secondary cam rather than spring popped - less lag or float at higher revs) - I bloody WISH I owned a Desmosedicci RR... but that's a $72k bike! Not for the likes of me... but my little 748 keeps me a happy camper - I commute on her and do weekend rides as often as practical - and there are some GREAT roads up into the Sierras.
But then I'd guess that an engine with regular, evenly spread firing/ignition would sound much nicer, wilder than such a "big-bang engine...I just love high-pitched screaming from engines, no thump-thump-thump kinda sound : )
Big bang just means the cylinders fire closer together to create one " big bang" instead of them firing more spread out so that there are more small bangs or " screamer"
Ducati is always oh-so flamboyant.
Good product but their advertising is always overly fruity.
Aprilia's the cool italian company.
And boy did they serve a cold dish to BMW.(Advert spoof)

fucking clown......comparing a Busa to a moto GP Ducati!?!?!? Desmo -300lbs/254HP.......Busa - almost 500lbs wet weight/190hp.

@174295 They kept wiping out on the rice being spewed onto the track HAHAHAHA

busa has no chance. motogp bikes have more than 260hp man
btw. busa is just fat looking motorcycle, it cant handle corners very well. if you want a realy fast street bike than buy a zx12r.

this bike can win the suzuki hayabusa or not can some one please tell me PLEASE
alvinfoster 1 year ago
Really?
The hayabusa is fast in a straight line, not built to tackly corners like this bike, different worlds really.

Busa would not stand a chance.
GP bikes accelerate from 0-100kmh in under 1.5secs and can go on to 320+kmh given the right track and gear ratios.

"Big bang"-engine?? How many cylinders does it have?: )
winterstellar 2 years ago
@winterstellar All teams use four cylinder engines these days. The Ducati is a V4.

looks alot more compact than the 09 bike, and a jap clone motor in it, they should rename it a japati, lol

One could be even more specific, since kawasaki is no longer taking part in motogp. Yamacati, perhaps?
