  • how the hell?

  • Good old NaClO3

  • where can i get some of this shit?

  • isnt sodium chloride illigal

  • @TheIcoolable if it is then we are all criminals D:

  • @TheIcoolable sodium chloride is table salt

  • @TheIcoolable Dihydrogen Monoxide Isnt

  • What would happen if you mix Potassium perchlorate and sugar then add

    2cc of H2SO4?

What would happen if you used persulfuric acid and sugar?

What would happen if you mixed Calcium hypochlorite+sugar+a pinch of sulfur?

    Ammonium nitrate+Potassium persulfate+sugar+H2SO4?

THOSE are the kind of questions this video made me ask.

Thank you for posting this. I like your experiments.Keep your notes.

  • @Nguli34689 1. it would burst into flames 2. im not sure, it might dehydrate the sugar 3&4.it sounds dangerous, but theres only one way to find out :)

  • @chemicalwarfare224 Well, when I was 15 years old and I wanted to build a cherry bomb, I used HTH Swimming Pool Chlorine (which was 98% Calcium hypochlorite pressed into tablets). This hypochlorite I would grind down into a fine powder. A small pinch of sulfur was added and much to my surprise, both of my hands were enveloped in an orange ball of flame. I ran around the table for a half a minute and then the pain hit. My skin looked like fried chicken with fingernails rolled back like scrolls.

  • @Nguli34689 Ever since my foolish adventure, and having 3rd degree burns on both hands, I learned a healthy respect for chemicals and pyrotechnics. I also learned that it only takes two molecules to initiate a spontaneous combustion. A combination of Calcium hypochlorite and a small amount of sulfur will spontaneously ignite! I am not a professional pyrotechnitian and I practice fireworks safety. I also studied chemistry in college which is a prerequisite for pyrotechnics.

    I like your videos!

  • @Nguli34689 Sulfur, not sulfuric acid?

  • wait so i just take salt and sugar mix it together and light it?

  • @Kon1993 no potassium chlorate and salt

  • @Kon1993 the title should say sodiom HYDROchlorate.

  • @bigbob572 No, it shouldn't. Sodium Chlorate is NaClO3.

  • @Kon1993 Chlorate is NOT chloride.

  • Sodium chlorate is a molecular compound sodium chloride is not ^^

  • Sodium chlorate is ionic. Composed of Sodium ions with a positive one charge, and chlorate ions with a negative one charge.

  • sodium chloride cant oxidize as it have no oxygen atoms. end of discussion (;

  • nooo ive done this loads at college . forensic science ohhh yehhh xD , it is sugar and sodium chlorate . which is an ingridiant in weed killer ., but you have to make sure it hadnt been tampered with to stop you doing this . then siimply light it . you dont need acid

  • soo... i put sugar and salt together and spoil sulfuric acid on it?! that is it?

  • no, salt is sodium chloride, this is sodium chlorATE and sugar. it doesnt work with nacl.

  • you could make that formula in a glass tube with glass separators and a small amount of sulfuric acid in the middle, get the amount right, and you have yourself a fire bomb grenade......slow burning+ sulfuric acid= slow death.

  • where the hell did u get 18m of sulfuric acid

  • You can get it from Lowe's or Home Depot in some drain cleaners.

They'll have a plastic bag around them.

  • lol why does nobody use this as a fuel?

it looks like a very violent long lasting reaction...

  • They use aluminum perchlorate and hydrogen peroxide for solid rocket fuel to launch things into space.

  • cuz you pretty much burn if you touch it

  • F asinating

    I nteresting

    R eactive

E xparament you guys have done

  • well said lol i agree

  • Sorry but that was a very slow burning not really intense reaction =/

If you use Icing sugar, and as pure as you can get it ground down Sodium chlorate it makes it much better! So much quicker and much more violent :D

  • In other words increase the surface area and the purity.

  • Basically ... yeah :D

It makes a much more intense flame, melts though very thin metal too (Y)

  • it was NaClO3 + sugar?

  • Table salt is Sodium Chloride NaCl, not Sodium Chlorate , which is NaClO3.

  • IT'S GOING

  • Here is a reminder from the American Medical Association.....

DON'T POUR SULFURIC ACID ON YOUR GENITALS!

  • wut?

  • Almost... NaCl is a ionic compound (Na+ and Cl- ions). During electrolysis Cl- is discharged to Cl2, which then becomes ionic again: Cl2 + 2OH- -> OCl- + Cl- + H2O, then 3OCl- -> ClO3- + 2Cl-.

    ClO3- is the chlorate

  • Huh? you lost me at almost....

  • NaCl is brown sugar or sugar.

  • um, no it's salt actually, sugar is C6H12O6

  • lol... wow... "NaCl is sugar"..

    L2chemistry

  • and here i was thinking sugar was sugar, silly me

  • You are extremely wrong. Sucrose is C12H22O11.

    Get it right.

  • I was a bit off on what I knew as "sugar", and I apologize. At least I didn't agree it was NaCl

  • stupid ass fuck its c12h22011

  • Who said sucrose? I thought we where talking about "sugar", which could be a number of things.

  • your right but still you should say what your talking about .what were you talking about erythritol ?

  • Well in specific, C6H12O6 is glucose. But it's very very close, so I don't know if I deserved the "stupid ass fuck" thing. Thanks for all who informed me though, I sleep tonight a smarter human.

  • yes it is but table salt is a molecul and I think this are the seperated atoms.

    corect me if i'm wrong

  • wasnt soidum chlorite a cooking salt?

  • Why don't you mix some aluminum powder with that? Haha.

A man was decapitated by three sodium chlorate and aluminum powder pipe bombs the Unabomber sent him.

  • hahahaha you did it on a ring stand niceeee

  • LOL my friend spilled 18M sulfuric assid in chem last year

  • does it have to be activated via H2SO4?

  • No, you can just light it with a lighter.

  • what was your acid concentration

  • The description said 14 M sulfuric acid.

  • holy shit 18M, that would burn straight through your hand

  • now how can i use this to take over the world?

  • and how is all this is gonna help us in our future ?

  • Do you know how i can purify sodium chlorate?

I was going to use it in Black powder because i can only get 53%, is that enough for BP?

    Thanks :D

  • same here i can only gt in a weed killer as 53% sank n cant do nake wid it yet :)

  • let me guess, is this DeadFast Weedkiller, because i use this oxidiser for my blackpowder. It works amazingly even in a 53% quantity, as long as you remember to grind it into a fine powder, or granulate it, to make it burn faster. However i have discovered a method to purify, simply put the powder into a solution and filter it through coffee filter paper, leaving a residue of purified Sodium chlorate! i live in the UK so Sodium chlorate replaces Potassium nitrate in my BP. Hope this helps.

  • How does that work? Does the Sodium chlorate not dissolve in water as well as the Sodium chloride (I think) that needs to be removed?

  • The sodium chlorate does dissolve but at a slower rate than that of compounds that form the fire depressants within the weed killer, thusly when filtered you are left with crystals of sodium chlorate, with the impurities in the solution. if that helps? However either way 53% purity still makes awesome blackpowder, and the lower purity is good for the use in smoke bombs, as combustion is prolonged.

  • hi i tryried the cia method of making black powder with 53% sodium chlorate and it burned like smoke bomb powder sloww! can u give me the method u did to produce good bp with soduim chlorate ? could u private message it? ty

  • geeks hee hee

  • i can do that with my wiener

  • but everybody knows my weiner does it better

  • But my wiener is the best.

  • wel i donty fuck with chemicals unles its school or explosives lol explosivs r funny

  • mmm i'm more a dust explosion guy ^^

  • sodium chloride i fink will be in the ferteliser section of most gardening stores an some farmacists

  • youre an idiot. sodium chloride will be ANYWHERE

    its table salt.

  • Yeah but they didn't use sodium chloride - they used sodium chlorate.

  • so just times it all by about 100 and OMFG

  • dude thats so sick haha

  • you can hear a girl saying "that's dumb"

    hahaha ha

  • does anyone know if Lows,Home Depot or Walmart sells sodium chlorate?

If so what brand name does it come under?

  • solid ox pellets are NaClO3. welding supply, possibly?

  • put it in a can take a blow torch to it and heat it wee then drop in an m&m for instan results. Use prongs to drop m&m in. It reacts fast. Then cut open can to find the m&m has been turned to carbon but in its normal shape.

  • ahahahahaha

  • sodium chlorate from B&Q for all those people in the UK

  • from B&Q !?!?!? sweet

  • ye you can get it in like 2.5k tubs as weedkiller

  • very nice =) you know where i'll be going soon then lol

  • lool lucky for me i got loads of local places where i can buy stuff like that

  • where was the NaClO3 procured? and what are you talking about? "extra special reaction" - do you know something I don't? Mg just combusts - and most know that.

  • hmmm, its quite good but if you add a small amount of magnesium ribbon you get an extra special reaction. Sodium chlorate can be bought as weedkiller in many normal garden stores

  • Does that sodium chlorate have fire deppresants in it?

  • Reminds me of a Stove :)

  • you guys sound like you are armenian ; )

  • how did u light that or did the suger do that to the sodium chlorate?

  • i think he used sulferic acid.

  • I did that bi accident in mi bathroom n burnt the new window as I threw it onto the roof... stupid but funny.

  • awesome...how u do it

  • lol, nice...btw this is Abid
