It isn't meant to be the "Church" temple, and many places Masonic would be called Lodges. So, I understand the confusion and if you still don't understand or are still curious knock on the door and ask the person who comes to the door at the Temple and ask them why it is.

@SteelWolf13 Pikes writings, even though he is the most celebrated freemason in our country, are only a small part of the bizarre and evil beliefs of the Freemason orders, mainly in the Illuminati circles. Others wrote of these such as Manly P. Hall and Aleister Crowley. Read up on them then work your way down the line of these Lucifariens, although I'm sure you will think it's Okay for top freemasons to believe this way. GOOD LUCK!

@SteelWolf13 Did not know Washington was a Freemason but I know it sounds good in the movies. The only proof I've witnessed of him being a Freemason were paintings of him in Freemason garb like his Presidential ceremony only these paintings were done long after his death.  If you have any real proof please let me know and I will look into it. As for Pike there is a statue of him in DC that depicts him as the most beloved Freemason.

Let me point out though that even if he was a freemason, which the Bible clearly states in several passages that Christians should stay away from such things, still at that time the freemasons were not yet influenced by the Illuminati. And the Illuminati did not find it's way into US government until after he was dead.
