What does the attendance have to do with the merits of this particular tax philosophy. Like the Flat Tax and the 999 plan, I'd be willing to entertain other tax philosophies if it would prevent the kind of corruption we see today, toss the hundreds of thousands of tax codes in the trash and shrink the size of the IRS to less than a quarter it's size.
The FairTax will raise the standard of living for all current tax payers. The amount we each pay will DROP because MORE people will be paying the total revenue neutral amount, including illegals and criminals. Also, prices will likely drop because companies will no longer need to pay tax experts and lawyers. This "compliance cost" right now amounts to $900 per person on average. Granted, SOME? people will benefit more than others, but there will be no losers with the FairTax.
If two people was there or two thousand, what does it matter? The content of what is being said is what matters. I like a national tariff on imports. Most who do like the idea of getting rid of the income tax system have some thing to lose, like a job. The few others are just stupid.
I just wanna have two seperate nations, one of liberal policies and one of conservative policies, then we'll see who succeeds. It's gonna be funny seeing refugees from the liberal "utopia" wanting into the republic of jobs and limited government
It seems real easy to me, of course it's not hard to see through the liberal/statist agenda.
People like out friend here who posted this excellent peice of evidence displaying blatant falsehoods, don;t like any system that doesn't punish successful people.
I mean any liberal/statist knows that it's much harder to make successful independent people rely on the govt. And expanding govt, and the needs for govt is where they get their power. So we can't have people keeping most of their money.
I tell you what you can keep the fucking IRS.Why do people like you under mind the fair-tax.This is the only thing that will get the U.S.A. going again.
Fairtax would be great -- if city and state government will pay massive taxes to the federal government.
. See Fairtax Answer Book, page 138. "Under our plan, all city and state government will pay the federal government taxes on all their spending, including spending for labor (wages)."
But - how would city and state government GET the $. Also, why hide this in one sentence? This is 60% of the revenue!! Why hide that in one out of many thousands of sentences.? Why hide that??
Chuck Norris better never find out how he got butt futted by the Fairtax lunatics.
Best way for Chuck to find out -- is to pass this farce. Let Chuck watch you dumb fucks try to make GOVERNMENT the biggest taxpayer.
Go on - please pass this shit. Only one problem -- Fairtax leaders know their own plan is based on layer after layer of absurdity, and aren't about to pass it.
The whole thing is a hoax-- its own leaders know its nonsense. I've studied it for years now.
It was always a farce -- a hoax. The 23% is a crock -- try 60-90%. Do you want a 90% sales tax? What would that do to comsumer spending?
It can't be 23% because that's based on taxing government - local, state, county and federal -- a HUGE sales tax. Its crazy as hell. And thats just the START of the insanity.
We need to discourage spending and increase productivity. You must be one of those Bush Republicans who think that borrowing and printing money to give to people to spend helps the economy. Cut the spending and go to fair tax. What we got now is a farce.
I hope you dumb fucks do the Fairtax-- it would be great. Like three dumb 12 year olds trying to build a house, so sure you dont really need a foundation, just a cool sounding name for your house.
If your kids were trying to build a bullshit house - you might let them try, just so they learn by fucking up.
Pass the hoax - PLEASE. See what happens when you dumb fucks try to tax cancer patients and when you destroy new home, new car markets, etc. .

Patriot -- you might think 60% is great, but the economy wont. Buyers wont. 20 years ago they put a 10% luxury tax on yatchs. It decimated the industry. They took it off after a year -- but about a third of the companies never re-opened,
Why do you think corporations are against it? As horrible as our tax code is not -- it's better than this farce.
And the Fairtax leaders KNOW this. It is literally a hoax. That's why they dare not even have hearings under oath in 13 years
What we got now isWarren Buffet barely pays any taxes, Timothy Geithner didn't pay his taxes and now he is the boss of the IRS. Only those rich enough to afford lawyers and accountants can come ahead of our mess system. Also including the people who have lobbiest. We have to regear to production not consumption and embrace investment not spending

The Fairtax is a bunch of crap, and it's own leaders know it. Its dead -- its fizzled out ----except for a few goonie dumb asses.
The only fucking way Fairtax numbers "work" you dumb ass, is if Fairtax can create 1.5 trillion dollars out of thin air, by pretending to tax the government.
Thats exactly what the Fairtax does -- look at Fairtax Book, page 148 "The federal government will become a MAJOR taxpayer"
Fairtax is BS that pretends the gov will pay 1/2 its own revenue

You can't discuss anything seriously. You spew the same 3 or 4 lines about the Fair Tax on every video that touches on it. You offer nothing to back up what you claim (aside from 1 sentence in the book), and you call everyone that disagrees with you names like a child does. I would love for you to prove to me that the Fair Tax is a farce. I would change my mind about it if you or anyone else could do that. You'll just call me a "retard" though.
DISCLAIMER FOR THOSE SERIOUS ABOUT DISCUSSING THE FAIRTAX: Sincere, intellectually honest debate is ALWAYS welcome, but ignore the person known as 12FlyMe/NawwLeans/Bullship Detector, etc. He continually posts a rash of lies, slanders, name-calling, and general nonsense, and has no interest in honest debate on HR25. Despite multitudes of facts and rational arguments presented in response to his rants, he continues undeterred in his campaign of misinformation. Pay no attention to him.
LOL, this video is ridiculous. It proves NOTHING. So what if the seating configuration listed a 4500+ limit? IT WAS A FREE EVENT - NO TICKETS, thus the chart is moot. I was THERE. There were people in other sections besides what was listed in the seating chart. FURTHERMORE, not everyone who was there for the rally were all in the building at the same time. There were thousands of people outside at the same time the seats were filled inside. Probably weren't 10k there, but well over 6k EASY.
I was there too, and there were people on the floor in addition to being in the aforementioned sections. The count was taken by people at the door who recorded each person who came in, and when it gets down to it, I'll accept their numbers over any provided by detractors, who seek to perpetuate the existing system of taxation. Thank goodness IowaSea and his many incarnations have a place to post "their" anti-FairTax rhetoric...
Gee, I wonder why National Association of Retailers said Fairtax would DEVESTATE -- thats right -- DEVESTATE the economy. And the National Association of Retails knows a little sumpin about sales and taxes.
Also, the US Treasure studied the national sales tax idea - said it would be 65% - not 23 as the liars at Fairtax said. Maybe thats why National Retailers said the lunatic Fairtax would DEVSTATE the economy - cause it WOULD. Its bullshit.
Ha! Great little clip. Bortz is an asshat extraordinaire.
In my city (Orlando) there's a slimy dickhead named Guetzloe with a group called 'Ax the Tax' that really had a head of steam built up for a while. Said weasel got into trouble re: a shilling/extortion deal he was trying to pull w/ the school board & Orl Magic, so I don't know how that's affected his Bortz-wannabe schtick, but it's great to see yr pushback on these bullshit artists who prey on the minds of the angry & gullible.
This is a weak video. Read the book and get educated. P.S. for those of you who don't know...There is no law that requires Americans to pay income taxes...investigate it. The sixteenth ammendment states that no tax shall be placed upon the people which is not APPORTIONED. Apportioned - Divided equally amongst the people!
I can't beleive this! My GOD! I've also heard that Boortz once claimed that the paperback version of the Fairtax:The truth book is 242 pages when in fact it is 243! How can anyone beleive these people?
This is unbelieveable. Just because of this seating chart explanation, i too will disreguard the substance of the Fair Tax plan and label it as "lies." Perhaps you could next analyze the last Disney on Ice show too, i know they are liars too. Here's an idea, let's all pool our wages together and let Diskatopia decide how to spend them. I think he/she would love that. The thought scares me though, because he/she is incapable of thinking as an individual.
"Real wages are 10.3%, 9.5%, and 9.2% higher in years 1, 10, and 25, respectively than would otherwise be the case. "-fairtaxorg
Ahhh, sounds great, doesn't it? But again, they are averaging all classes together -- let's look at the true picture:
Real wages of those making $10k-$150K up roughly 0.3 - 3.7%, real wages of those making less than $10k up roughly 13%, while the real wages of those making more than $150K is up nearly 50% (BHI, Table 5).
Ok in this video, you actually zoom in on Z,A, and B, AFTER showing several people sitting in sections next to those, nearly filling them up and indicating that more than just sections Z, A, and B were sat. Also, I was at that rally, and know from being there that there were more people than pictured, as they wrapped around to the sides. This video is the lie.
stupidass, listen up. no one is saying they were only seated in Z A and B. im saying they filled up the whole seating chart shown in the video, which includes floor seating and seating on the side. Boortz even admitted the numbers were closer to 5,000. get with the program
This guy took one frame of video from one camera only showing 3 sections. If he sent me a porn video of his mother, I could make it look like there was only one midget in that video. Way to go IMOVIE!!
Everytime I have listened to Boortz (quiet often) he has said 8000. Also, the seating chart you showed only had half of the stadium pictured, and as I said, the audience wrapped around the sides and some towards the back. In addition, there were people sitting at tables on the floor in front of the stage.
a new failure for the Fairtax: the new book never cracked the top 3 on its debut week, and now, a month later, is totally gone from the bestseller list. People know enough to see through your kooky half-baked plan.
The Fairtax goes on the shelf with the other failures, next to Forbe's flat tax. have fun paying your taxes this April 15th, losers!
people who oppose the fair tax are (i'm sorry to say) are just plain stupid. 33% of what you earn (current tax code) or 23% of what you spend (the fair tax) dee deet dee dee. thats the bottom line
@mIXmASTERmYSTERY It's quite simple. Most people simply do not have the attention span to read a book on taxes and economics. I wonder how many READ Obama's book vs simply bought it.
As for why it's been legislatively unsuccessful, that's easy - the fairtax strips politicians of a lot of their power and they are not going to give it up.
By far the biggest obstacle to the fairtax is that it's easily painted as "raising your taxes 23%", when to actually explain it to people requires thinking.
Fair tax didnt "almost eliminate" the tax on middle and lower income Americans -- as Boortz claims (page 79) it SHIFTED those taxes, like an earthquake shifts buildings. It hits Americans with cancer, heart disease, kidney disease - actually anyone who gets expensive medical care. Plus it shifts it to renters, and even has the military paying huge sales tax, which is silly and cant happen.
way too much bitching regarding my video. if you people got off your ass and went out and did something half as much as you complain on a keyboard, the Fairtax wouldnt be the abysmal legislative failure it is now (new slogan: Ten Years! No Progress!)
did any of you actually read Nealz Nuze on Sept 15th 2005? its a bait and switch operation. you arent getting any more money in your paycheck. do some research. dont fall for these infomercial shills.
Denim - you didnt answer if nursing homes, cancer patients, surgery, and medical cost get an exemption pal. Pretty easy, yes or no. Thanks. PS I love you bro.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
YOu say no exemptions to fairtax?
Hey moron, then how does someone making 25,000 a year, pay a SALES tax of 40,000 on their cancer surgery? Why charge renters 40% tax on their rent you idiot? Why charge a sales tax on car insurance, health insurance, and life insurance?
This tax is goofy as hell, and people would vomit if it they saw what it really did.
demin you moron, no one has torn apart - no noe has even ANSWERED. Cat's answer was in sane -- that navy doesnt have to buy subs, that the cancer patients dont have to have surgery or chemo. What a moron! Let say the DONT have surgey, and the navy DOESNT buy anything -- there goes the "revenue neutral" part of your piece of crap.
Cat -- not ONE person from FT, or their supporters, have dared tried to answer my questions. Questions about cancer patients having to pay 40K sales tax on surgery and chemo. About the impact of huge sales tax on new houses. And I bet none of you realize RENT - yes, RENT -- will be taxed 23%. Wait till you boys find you have to pay taxes to rent your trailer.
Mark doesnt work for IRS. Im retired. But I happen to know a pile of crap when I see one - and FairTax is a pile. I actually REALLY hope you get it passed. Honest to GOD I would love it. You need to learn some math and economics. I would literally have a party if this were passed. Sadly, no one is stupid enough to pass it.
My family owns a small company, typical really. Round figures -- we would save about 50K under FT, cause no FICA. Great. But by your IDIOT logic, we should be able to LOWER prices 880,000!! Almost a million!! Cause we "saved" 50K -are you MENTAL? Your moron tax is SUPPOSED to equal what we can CUT our prices. One little problem -- MATH. look it up you idiot.
I was there and agree that the total attendence was somewhere in the 4000 person range. That is still very impressive given where the event was held. Most people drove hours to attend. FairTax Now!
why the hell would anyone travel that far to see speeches, and then just sit outside and miss the entertainment when there are EMPTY SEATS in the house???
2. i called Carolina Coliseum and verified that they were in fact using the half-house seating chart that day. you can do so youself if you dont believe me. the number is (803) 777-5113. They said the only way 8,000 people could fit using that configuration is if several THOUSAND sat BEHIND the stage.
All this proves is that 8,000 people couldn't have sat in the coliseum at the same time. There just happened to be several thousand more people who showed up than could actually fit in the coliseum.
1. i am not suggesting that people only sat in sections Z A B. im suggesting they used the entire half-house seating chart, which can be seen in the video, which includes seating directly on the side of the stage and on the floor. ALL of this seating only totals around 4,500 seats
They didn't use the half-house seating chart, they used the whole stadium with a curtain behind the stage so only the seats directly were totally empty. There were people all the way to the corners almost behind the stage.

The Fair Tax is the dumbest tax we could possibly have. If you look at the history of sales taxes:
Charles I, 1642, deposed, decapitated
James II, 1688, deposed, Stuarts terminated
George III, lost colonies
Louis XVI, 1789-93, guillotined
Jefferson Davis, 1861-65, funds CSA with sales tax, CSA goes bankrupt
Czar Nicholas II, cannot finance war from sales taxes, shot, Romanov's done
India 1947, British sales tax on salt, British gone
South Vietnam 1960-65, doubled sales tax, landowners untaxed

Bullshit -- there aren't that many dumb asses around.

I read the FT book four times. I read the new book. I read all I could online -- especially Boortz own writings
Its pure bullshit. For example, you idiot, read page 148 -- "the federal government ITSELF will become a MAJOR TAXPAYER"
Thats right you lunatic - Boortz is conning you idiots telling your dumb asses that he will get a major part of taxes FROM the government.
And you retards sit there and eat that shit up.
Here is a clue you moron - wont work.

Probably weren't 10k there, but well over 6k EASY.
abnrgrtr 2 years ago 3
I was there too, and there were people on the floor in addition to being in the aforementioned sections. The count was taken by people at the door who recorded each person who came in, and when it gets down to it, I'll accept their numbers over any provided by detractors, who seek to perpetuate the existing system of taxation. Thank goodness IowaSea and his many incarnations have a place to post "their" anti-FairTax rhetoric...

FT moonies better study the plan. Boortz has "clarified" his looney tune farce.
Now he admits that for the FT math to work -- all wage earners have to "voluntarily" donate the savings from no taxes, back to the employer.
Thats right -- you DONATE all the savings back to your employer, so he can lower prices.
And then -- after you donate all that back -- you pay the world''s highest sales tax. Learn the Boortz bullshit.

Ok so because seating numbers were exaggerated.....the FairTax plan is a big lie too?
I'm sorry, thats hilarious!!
Read the plan, get educated and UNDERSTAND!!!
cpltony 3 years ago
This is a weak video. Read the book and get educated. P.S. for those of you who don't know...There is no law that requires Americans to pay income taxes...investigate it. The sixteenth ammendment states that no tax shall be placed upon the people which is not APPORTIONED. Apportioned - Divided equally amongst the people!

I can't beleive this! My GOD! I've also heard that Boortz once claimed that the paperback version of the Fairtax:The truth book is 242 pages when in fact it is 243! How can anyone beleive these people?
rstryker27 3 years ago
This is unbelieveable. Just because of this seating chart explanation, i too will disreguard the substance of the Fair Tax plan and label it as "lies." Perhaps you could next analyze the last Disney on Ice show too, i know they are liars too. Here's an idea, let's all pool our wages together and let Diskatopia decide how to spend them. I think he/she would love that. The thought scares me though, because he/she is incapable of thinking as an individual.
2008HLB 3 years ago
"Real wages are 10.3%, 9.5%, and 9.2% higher in years 1, 10, and 25, respectively than would otherwise be the case. "-fairtaxorg
Ahhh, sounds great, doesn't it? But again, they are averaging all classes together -- let's look at the true picture:
Real wages of those making $10k-$150K up roughly 0.3 - 3.7%, real wages of those making less than $10k up roughly 13%, while the real wages of those making more than $150K is up nearly 50% (BHI, Table 5).
"Fair" Tax = FAIL.

This video is the lie.
chwparker 3 years ago 5
stupidass, listen up. no one is saying they were only seated in Z A and B. im saying they filled up the whole seating chart shown in the video, which includes floor seating and seating on the side. Boortz even admitted the numbers were closer to 5,000. get with the program

This guy took one frame of video from one camera only showing 3 sections. If he sent me a porn video of his mother, I could make it look like there was only one midget in that video. Way to go IMOVIE!!
captchaos8479 3 years ago
Everytime I have listened to Boortz (quiet often) he has said 8000. Also, the seating chart you showed only had half of the stadium pictured, and as I said, the audience wrapped around the sides and some towards the back. In addition, there were people sitting at tables on the floor in front of the stage.

a new failure for the Fairtax: the new book never cracked the top 3 on its debut week, and now, a month later, is totally gone from the bestseller list. People know enough to see through your kooky half-baked plan.
The Fairtax goes on the shelf with the other failures, next to Forbe's flat tax. have fun paying your taxes this April 15th, losers!
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 3 years ago
people who oppose the fair tax are (i'm sorry to say) are just plain stupid. 33% of what you earn (current tax code) or 23% of what you spend (the fair tax) dee deet dee dee. thats the bottom line
smolanchad 3 years ago
then how come the Fairtax has been so unsuccessful?
why arent Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee fighting for the nomination, instead of on the loser's pile?
why did the book make its stunning debut on the NYT bestseller list BEHIND Barack Obama's book, thats been out since LAST YEAR??
the Fairtax is just a hobby for bitter old people to organize their complaining.
Legislatively, its a total failure. Ten years. No Progress.
but keep beating the drum, rube.
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 3 years ago

MarkDouglasC 4 years ago
way too much bitching regarding my video. if you people got off your ass and went out and did something half as much as you complain on a keyboard, the Fairtax wouldnt be the abysmal legislative failure it is now (new slogan: Ten Years!

No. No exemptions. For the 1000th time.

Is there anything you agree with? I've even seen your comments on Civil War videos... they seem to hate you there too. Why Mark?

YOu say no exemptions to fairtax?
Hey moron, then how does someone making 25,000 a year, pay a SALES tax of 40,000 on their cancer surgery? Why charge renters 40% tax on their rent you idiot? Why charge a sales tax on car insurance, health insurance, and life insurance?
This tax is goofy as hell, and people would vomit if it they saw what it really did.
Lets pass this crap and all throw up together

demin you moron, no one has torn apart - no noe has even ANSWERED.

MarkDouglasC 4 years ago
I was there and agree that the total attendence was somewhere in the 4000 person range. That is still very impressive given where the event was held. Most people drove hours to attend. FairTax Now!
cphine 4 years ago
There may have been 4000 in the coliseum, but there were thousands more outside.
ytdalesmith 4 years ago 2
why the hell would anyone travel that far to see speeches, and then just sit outside and miss the entertainment when there are EMPTY SEATS in the house???
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 4 years ago
2. i called Carolina Coliseum and verified that they were in fact using the half-house seating chart that day. you can do so youself if you dont believe me. the number is (803) 777-5113. They said the only way 8,000 people could fit using that configuration is if several THOUSAND sat BEHIND the stage.
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 4 years ago
All this proves is that 8,000 people couldn't have sat in the coliseum at the same time. There just happened to be several thousand more people who showed up than could actually fit in the coliseum.
ytdalesmith 4 years ago
explain the empty seats then
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 4 years ago
to all the people who left comments -
1. i am not suggesting that people only sat in sections Z A B. im suggesting they used the entire half-house seating chart, which can be seen in the video, which includes seating directly on the side of the stage and on the floor. ALL of this seating only totals around 4,500 seats
mIXmASTERmYSTERY 4 years ago
They didn't use the half-house seating chart, they used the whole stadium with a curtain behind the stage so only the seats directly were totally empty. There were people all the way to the corners almost behind the stage.
noth98 4 years ago
they most certainly did use the half house. call them and verify
