right, because the machine doesn't have much momentum, it stops when the wheels are out of torque while changing gear

can u make a a vid of it gearing down, like make it start off on flat ground then make it go up a slope so we can see it gearing down, because taht would be awsome

How about making the RCX switch the gear to lower based on the readout of a rotational sensor? In essense, if the vehicle slows down too much, it means it reached a slope or something. Changing gear to lower would make it easier for the motor.

it works fine when you get it up in speed ^^

try making the speed of the 2nd gear to first gear and then you can get a superfast 3rd gear!

but if i do it, torque of motors isn't enough, because i tried several combinations of gear ratios

yes, it's too big but i had done second version of this car and it is a bit smaller than this, but i cannot make smaller due to strength

So it doesn't need a first gear .

because this is not a combustion engine.

but the aim of making a car with gbx is only making a car with gbx that shifts on work.

it stops because it doesn't have enough mass and speed to sustain the movement and there is friction at high rates...

no its a tranmission once momentum is high it can shift into a higher gear to without stress on the engine and make it go faster
