What's the bass like? I like crisp highs and mids but I also want a really good deep bass. I really don't want beats though, they just ruin everything that isn't low.
I absolutely love Bose headphones. I purchase my Bose OE last october and I love them still, but the OE2i came out 4 months later, so in the end I think I should've waited. Nonetheless, I'll continue to rock my headphones and in a couple years when I need new ones, I'll definitely stick to Bose. Also great review! Just subscribed! :)
@jsantos502 they sound almost identical. the durability is better on the OE2's and theyres lighter but your not missing anything in the sound department
Good review. I had a pair of OEs that I traded in for OE2s just yesterday. I'm not sure how I feel about these yet. They sound more balanced but the OEs had just a hair more bass which made the music sound fuller to me without being over powering. Then again, there's a lot to be said for hearing the music as it was intended (pay no attention to the 2 12" kenwoods in my truck). I know where I can get another pair of OEs for a reasonable price. I may pick it up and have both models.
I think people who like Apple just figure products which come at a premium are better just because they paid a lot. This however, is not true. Sennheiser, Denon, and Audio-Technica have a leg up on Bose. Sure, you won't be sporting the premium logo, but you will be saving some money and getting even better sound. Bose is great for a standard set of headphones, but people who plug them into Amps and DACs tend to not notice much of a difference. Which can mean they aren't all that wonderful.
