I used to watch that show religiously when I was a kid! LOL - its far enough now that a lot of people don't get it.

There is this episode of Herman's Head.

(a sitcom that aired on the FOX network from 1991 to 1994)

He ok-ed a script as being good. THEN his boss get a phone call from a reporter that offered said script as his own but it was an oscar winning script: "Mister smith goes to Whashinton" and his employee failed to spot that!

In the end it turns out the script was not recognised and rejected by ever production company except Herman's who at least spotted the quality.

This is a very funny story. I loved Mr, Smith goes to Washington. Jimmy Stewart was totally hot in black. I think Hollywood felt we was better in cooler colors, not so austere. That movie had a high amount of contrast too it. Something I (obviously) love.
