Strengthening the peso..

Note how every administration taxes Dominicans by weakening the peso and thus its purchasing power.

The peso is still down 70% from the Baninter scandel.

Change the tax structure to a 10% consumption tax...then the business sector will grow larger than the government sector.

Become a respected tax haven...the government has missed this opportunity because of failure to punish those in the bank scandels.

Poverty will not change until the tax system changes.

The tax system must go to a 10% consumption tax only.

The private sector will get bigger than the government under this premise.

Also the DR should become another Zug Switzerland, a true tax haven...however because of the legal debacle involving Baninter, this has been set back another 20 yearsbecaus eof lack of trust.

Also, the peso must be fortified. There is no excuse for a 55 to 1 ratio or 32 to 1 ratio versus the dollar.

Most People here in Europe think that the Dominican Republic is just like Paradise. Of Course it is a beautifull Island, but the People there are suffering. I was there 1 year ago and i was extremly shockt about the poverty. I feelt so bad because for me in the 'All Inclusive Hotel' there was Food and Drinks all day long while the Poeple who lives outside didn't have somethink to eat
