  • Oh how I miss Africa........

  • Bravo..

  • こういうアフリカの音楽の声、リズム感とか神秘的だよなぁ

    生命のパワーを感じる感じだわ。

  • PROUD TO AFRICAN AMERICAN IS MY RACE

  • There is something beyond the flesh. Thanks for the video.

  • Joseph Shabalala created a masterpiece in LadySmith Black Mambazo. I remember watching them with Paul Simon in the 80's. The were magificent then, and they haven't changed a bit. The most beautiful music in the world!

  • wonderful music !!!!!!!!!

  • hahahaha.... hey beautiful gal

  • YOU HAVE A FABULOUS channel! I just subbed you!

  • Beautiful pure african music. I can't believe ppl tried to wipe this out. Tisk tisk.

  • @sexxyperv That is the destructive nature of some people!

  • Truely! the thsound of ur music is as shap and strong as an AXE-BLACK MAMBAZO. ILUV & UR MUSIC, 'COMPUTER' 4rm NIG.

  • Love their music, brings back so many memories of Africa, can't wait to go back. My favourite band ever. I hope to see them in concert one day

  • Saw them in Frederick, Maryland last year. Great concert, great energy, harmony, rhythm. Obviously good guys.

  • Just discovered this group thanks to my music class. These guys are amazing.

  • I just saw them here in Oregon.

  • Beautiful!

  • i love it , is so nice

  • Africa for the Africans

  • I don't always understand what they're saying but I understand and appreciate the warmth and sense of joy that flows from them. Things that are so sadly missing from most commercial music.

It's just very nice, very warm and I feel that! Peace to you all

  • Saw them tonight in Liverpool, they all signed my ticket, it was a big queue! One wrote 'love you' I melted! hahaha

  • Damnit, I hope you meant that some other way. Give me a break. Finally something good... Grr.

    Bigoted much?

    Nix ~

  • I guess you could say I am slightly bigoted but with good reason but not for horrid reasons!

    Take Care...!

  • Umm, are you the same person? Two accounts I guess, if so.

I'm not sure if there are any good reasons for bigotry.

    Nix ~

  • "Doooonn't yoo meditate? I sent a messengaaaa. To tell yoo dat, I wanta meet yoo inna stayshunnnnn.."

I love these guys. So glad i discovered them. It'd be a shame to miss out on a group this good.

  • and can you believe that most of them are from one family, the family of Joseph Shabalala the lead singer

  • I love South African music, there voices are always so beautiful.

Good song, it's getting me to relax.

    -From Denmark.

  • ouvir essas vozes ao vivo deve ser arrepiante! Nossos antepassados africanos se revolvendo dentro de nós!

    Muito bonito!

  • Lovely, I love their voices.

  • So WOW!!!

    Thank you from Canada!

  • forgive world Africa for lesser help, please look into your divine dreams and keep hoping for more from world, god loves Africa with all hope of world

  • BTW- who here has heard this same piece ft. Marie Dulane of Zap Mama? :) That pairing is nothing short of genius, IMO.

  • I was beginning to think I was the only one who'd heard it. Dulane adds a flavor that works beautifully with Joseph and the gang.

Good on ya, friend. IMO, you're right as rain.

Nix ~ can't get enough of these guys!

  • OMG, I have freakin loved them since I was a little girl in dance class with only an acapella tape dubbed for me by one of my dance teachers. Didn't know who they were back then, but so grateful that I "discovered" them again in my early 20's. I saw this show on PBS in 2007, but didn't know if it was merely a rerun or new; how old is this clip, please someone? Thanks :)

  • best music without instruments.

  • you're right, but it's called a capella for future reference lol.

sorry im a picky music student :S

  • You´re right. No words. Speechless...No matter race or culture, art is just one when it comes to beauty...

  • i bet your white

  • Yes. I am white. Very white by the way. But what difference does it make with the words I said?

  • hmmmmmn yessss! Afrikan music.

  • Beauty, Emotion, Culture, Expertise, Humility, sheer Brilliance, Ladysmith Black Mambazo are the epitomy of each. I am Awestruck each and every time.

  • because you cant come you got no penius no-one likes you and you got no friends

your mum has plastic boobs and is buff

  • max can you come round please because you cant come you got no penius no-one likes you and you got no friends

    you have excess skin

your mum has plastic boobs and is buff

  • Africa is not Alpha and Omega.God is Alpha and Omega, the Almighty Creator. But I understand what you mean.Africa is the original.

  • Alpha and Omega are Greek alphabets asigned to a strange blond god.

  • the meaning of alpha and Omega is metaphorically denoting to being the first and last.Meaning spanning and transcending time. This is a title ascribed only to God :)

  • Beautiful

    From BOOTAKILL to France

  • I love thses guys!!!

  • this moves my spirit..

    Bless

  • the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice. The greatest!!!

  • awesome brilliant singers

  • I dream of returning to Africa...

  • @choubc12 me 2 ....

  • The strength, the energy, The unusual sounds, creativity and co-ordination in that group is outstanding it's what's so entertaining. Acapella all Human nothing else but a mic and the air in their lungs... A timeless stile.

  • so true......this music far pre dates the "Temptations", when this specific group started recording they were so isolated in their township that they though that singing into the microphone would capture there voices forever and they would be rendered unable to even speak let alone sing. please hold your spiteful words especially if your going to comment on subjects that so many others hold dear and you clearly know little. Thank you

  • Fantastic!!

  • the fella on the far right is the sickest dancer in the world

  • I AGREE AND THE STEPS ARE TIGHT

  • Definitely, he's putting his own little moves in the dance, frikkin awesome, the lead singer is so interesting to look at too =)

  • Thanks for pointing that out. He's fabulous to watch isn't he. Greetings from Australia.

  • I have several of their cd's and they are brilliant and easy to listen to.

  • Oh, What can I Say They are not only for south Africa, For the whole Africa as well. Love you All.

    Ethiopia.

  • nice!!... gives me eargasm!!

  • sublime , no entiendo un carajo pero está buenisimo

  • This is God -or the gods, if you prefer- touching you, stirring your soul and your senses... beautiful..

  • Sad to see racist things here..

How can you say that after seeing such a great video with this beautiful people?!

    Love Ladysmith Black Mambazo!

Hope to see you in the Netherlands..

  • Be sure to catch the award winning documentary on them, ON TIP TOE. It's currently playing on The Documentary Channel.

  • Absolutely brilliant. I love the harmonys - their songs have so much spirit and power to them. In music we listen to different music from parts of the world, and i must say, Africa is my favourite, with singers like these, and the amazing, talented drummers xx

  • You are the star big guys keep it up. I like Scathamiya Music. Never mind about the dogs bucking out side there, zikhonkotha ehambayo. We are watching you men.

  • it's not fun is cool thx

  • Damn you need a kick in the face.

I'm gonna guess you're one of those little punks that watched American History X a few times and read Mein Kampf so now you think you know exactly what you want and why.

You're wrong, you're sick.. and nobody should have to hear the shit that you spew out of your mouth.

  • U got so much against us yet u got nothin oer us: U breathe same air we do, shit jus like all animals, die like all mortals n leave everythin u so proud of on dis earth. So don let dis so called 'white power' dis-illusion u coz we all de same.

  • Tight Harmony with deep feeling and a warmth that shines!

    Dan H

  • I have just seen and heard them on 'Cassics TV' in U.K. they were singing 'World in Union'. And that was great too.

The lead singer reminds me of the Nyasaland singers who workedin Zimbabwe in the 1940s, and brought back my youth to me. Wonderful sound!

  • i grew up listening to these guys. They are awsome!! if anyone has anything nasty to say, keep it to urself cause they have been singing longer that most people have been born!

  • if i'm not wrong, the song is named

    Hello my baby

    by Ladysmith Black Mambazo

  • look what the uman voice can do.. the pure and naturally music..

    Un saluto dall'italia..

  • stupid asshole..

  • love the white shoes!

  • Imagine that without any instruments....music & civilization began in Africa and we have to be proud of that.
