Dude! After 20+ times playing this game and watching a bunch of LPs of it, I just now figured out why the party can't go through the gates in shifts - There's only ONE gate key!!!
ROFL! Don't worry Tim/NintendoCapriSun,i did the same mistake,i kept leaving and entering again thinking that my game was glitched XD Counter Clockwise FTW!
I got this game on the wii yesterday, and I watched this lp about a year ago, I've been stuck, but I got out of everything, up until this point, I didn't go to Media Square, I went to 65,000,000bc for some reason, lol. At least I got this far before using a guide.
@KurosakiUsumaki I'm not too picky I've been known to mess up a few times, but I thought you were native to english and just being lazy, sorry I didn't mean to offend you :(
lol i think its funny that the thing your describing to record ps games or other consoles is actually a capture card, which you use for everything now lol!
This is what I call one of those 'herp-a-derp' moments. They frequently come when you're distracted, stressed, drunk, or occasionally due to a quantum flux in the brain.
i totally did the same thing when i played ncs. i ran the wrong way for 30 minutes, and then i gave up. i came back the next day, did it for another 45 minutes, then literally punched myself in the face. then i did it right my first time. XD
I love all your faliures, they are so holarious especially this one, bonus episode 1 in Majoras Mask and ep 8 of Metroid Prime. But the one that i like the most of your failures is bonus episode 1 of Majoras mask.
A Capture Card is very good for using A/V Cables Caprisun, i just got one for my games and it works great, all you need is an A/V Cable Splitter to connect to the TV and Capture Device, If you haven't Figured it out already =D
i hate having to be limited to only 3 party members, cant even be 4 :/ ahwell, guess ill leave ROB64 behind so KRYST(marle) can catch ip with everybody
Trying to get the ability to use spells annoyed me alot for some reason. Maybe because no matter how many times I did it, it still said I did it wrong when I know for a fact I did it right.
I did the same thing on my last playthrough... cept I did it like twenty times (so 60 trips around the room), and I was like "Why the heck isn't this working?" Then I finally realized, "Well, duh, I've been going counter-clockwise this entire time!"
There is a special adaptor online that you can get to transfer video and from your tv to your pc. I've seen it for the xbox and ps2...google ps2 to computer video adapter..i think its like 30 bucks online
if uve got windows xp u could use easy cap (its like twenty bucks for easycap and ulead stuido but on vista the wmm wont register easy cap like it does on xp so on vista u will need to use ulead) but yeah its tweanty bucks for that and then if u want to u can invest in some composit splitters so then u plug ur game system into the easy cap and plug easy cap into ur computer (or laptop in my case) using the usb port (the easy cap has a usb and then female composite and s video)
Let's do the time warp again. I love this game it is such a classic RPG game. It's really to bad they never did a proper prequel or sequel game to this. The best thing we got was a reamke a few years back on nintendo DS I belive with some altereatins made to it. Suppodidly a game of similar tittle called Chrono Cross which came out on I think it was sega gensis or Playstation was suppodidly a sequel to this. But I heardf it was horrible written. The main character was dead and alive IWRFUSPL
I like it to I think it's a ver good game. However some of the more extreme fans the 0.1 to 50 world wide% that were super nit pick did not like it and gave it ver harsh reviews or never bother to pla it.
u were going the wrong way from the door go to ur left along the wall 3 times and then at the door go straight up ull hear a noise saying u did it right this part was so annoying i did the same thing udid it didnt ever work i went the other way 3 times and success
You are not the only one who did not know clockwise and counterclockwise. When I first played Chrono Trigger in SNES, I didn't know what clockwise is when I was about 13 or so years old (born 1982), but now I know.
Funny you played it in FF mode, though, as I didn't understand what you're saying. LOL!!!
What you want is a "Capture Card". There are capture cards that you plug into an USB port, like the "Dazzle". You then plug some AV cables from your Audio and Video OUT ports in your TV to that, and you can play on a PlayStation and on a TV, and record video and audio from that on the PC.
Then You just need to turn on Audacity or some other program to record your microphone and splice it together.
However... If you choose to use a Playstation emulator to do your LP, you can actually play the game from your original disc. Playstation (or Dreamcast, Saturn, etc) emus don't use ROMs like cartridge based system emulators do. You can either play the game from an ISO image on your hard drive, or from the game CD itself without having to rip the image. This may still be the easiest way to get the game footage and your mic audio onto your computer.
As for your DVR, I'm not sure about those. Your DVD-ROM drive shouldn't have a problem playing DVD-Rs (the blue or purple kind), unless it's a specific issue with how the recorder burns the DVDs. It may encode the recorded footage in a file that your computer can't play, or it may not finalize the DVD in a way that's readable by your drive. I'm just throwing this out there... I really don't know.
I think the easiest way to record game footage from your PS is to use a TV capture card or capture device. Plug your Playstation into it, or plug the TV into it, and you should be able to record footage directly to your hard drive.
This method is dependent on the software that comes with the capture device, what resolutions it supports, what inputs, and that kind of thing. It's not necessarily a plug and play solution and would require shelling out some cash, which isn't ideal.
As far as recording DVDs, you'd have to check which formats your recording unit recommends, as well as the DVD unit in your computer. I think "DVD-R" discs should work for you. If you go the DVD route, make sure your video editing program can handle the .VOB (MPEG-2) files DVD recorders use, or be able to transcode them.
There are many video capture devices for computers, both internal and external. Many use MPEG-2 encoding as well. Definitely do some research :-)
Thanks for the advice! I hadn't even considered the format yet. I have some DVD ripper thing that lets you choose the output format (avi, mpeg, etc.) so I doubt that'll be a problem.
Spekkio: Think, "MAGIC," and, starting from the door, walk clockwise around the walls of my room 3 times.
* Tim begins to walk around the room counter-clockwise, and continues to do it.* Me watching the video - *facepalm* D'oh! Is that clockwise? NNNOOOOOOOO! (a la Chuggaaconroy)
I'm thinking mostly Final Fantasy 9, but 10 is a possibility too. I played 10 too recently though. I have this other game called "Jade Cocoon", but I don't know if I'll do that one 'cause half of it is just grinding. I'm also thinking about Gamecube stuff like "Super Mario Sunshine".
FF9 is pretty cool although I'll admit that im partial to FF8. And Super Mario Sunshine is pretty cool too. You havent happened to have played Super Mario Galaxy have you?
Man, your in for a treat. I havent had a game take me back to my childhood like that one in years (little did I know that it would happen again soon with MM9).
The color of the DVD is irrelavent. The dye in the disc is what causes the color to be different. Old playstation games are black on the bottom so people couldn't see how much data was actually burnt on them. As far as capturing, Pinnacle makes a few devices that can be hooked up to your PC that will capture correctly. But, if all else fails, use emulators -- it will simply things.
Oh my god, looks like something I'd do xD (You know the part you uploaded from Mother 3 today? It took me about 4 times of trying to leave the room through the door with Salsa to realize he'll just keep rolling over and zapping him)
I don't know much about capturing directly from the console, but I found a link that might help. I'll PM you.
Chrono Trigger is about going back in time, so if you go back in time when walking anti-clockwise, you go clockwise! (Yeah, I know I sound like an idiot.)
Haha it's okay, your suhhh moment is still nothing compared to my biggest lapse in common sense thus far(Let's just say it involved a house for sale with 1.5 bathrooms and me not reading the decimal point)
This is the first time I've ever wanted to give a robot a hug.

Oh jeez. lol, the thought of a house with 15 dumps in it makes me kinda cringe.

I am glad that I am not the only one who has repeatedly made the mistake you were making with Spekkio.
