@1madaboutguitar that's a fair opinion. Obviously, we like what we like but i would say that none of the shredding is completely mindless. Usually, what he does is listen to the chord progression and change scales to match that of the chords while simultaneously making sure to end each phrase on an interval belonging to the final chord structure. Say if the progression ended on an A major of some sort then Luke would end maybe on like a major 3rd in the key of a.
