Calvinism makes God out to be the author of sin and that everything is ordained by God. Was Cain ordained to kill his brother or did he choose to? If you read Gen 4:6,7, you will see that God treats him as if he had freewill and gave him the ability to choose. James white needs to repent and believe the gospel. @Parture good point about what is meant by total depravity. Calvinists insist that all our mental faculties are depraved and that would include our faculty of knowledge/consciousness. Hence, if their view is correct, then they can not be CERTAIN of it being correct. If they claim the Holy Spirit has opened their eyes, then how can they be CERTAIN that it was the Holy Spirit? Hence, they open the gates to universal skepticism in order to deny free will.

@Parture Would it be possible for you to point me to where James White says these things? And I have a few questions: Doesn't Ephesians 1:4-6 among other passages clearly state that we are chosen and predestined(determined beforehand) by God to be children of God? And how can the God-hating, sinful by nature man suddenly go against his very nature and choose God when Scripture says that "no one seeks for God" and "No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him"?

@stegokitty Dead in sin doesn't mean totally unable, for you can still help an old lady across the street and receive what Jesus did for you on the cross, because God provides sufficient grace to us all to have the free choice. Dead in sin means "lost communication". He is not the "Savior of people from different classes or places, specially those who believe" for that is nonsensically redundant.
