You have to be a complete idiot to not be looking at the road for such a long period! If I were to write a text msg while driving I'd be looking at the phone for a split of a second every now and then and writing the message for five minutes, at the same time trying to see what is going on the road and predict what will happen for that split second I look down.

Besides - there were two other girls in the car. When you are in a car and the driver's not paying full attention - YOU ARE HIS EYES!!!

i knew a guy at my school whos dad lost an arm, above the elbow. his car was fliped upside down and his car slided 50ft while it was on its roof. due to the impact his arm was hanging on by a thread. the other driver died, since he had the most impact on him, he was on his phone, texting, he flew straight out of his window. the autopsy photos said he broke three ribs and his face was bloody. the other dude lost his right arm. this PSA advert is five star hotel compared to what happens daily.
