@Fuffuffuffu Okay, admittedly, some collars are very pretty - I personally do not have a collar for any of my cats as they never tolerated it and we live on the outskirts of the town. However, if I would live in a city or a more urban setting I would probably try to get the cat to wear the collar so that it is not reported to the local authorities as a stray.

@Fuffuffuffu the collar and the tag on it helps other people return the cat to you if it goes on walkabouts and decides to go into another house through the catflap. My friend put a bell on the collar as the cat kept bringing dead birds home. If the cat is used to it, there is nothing wrong with it.

Regarding your point "would you live with a collar on your neck" - no but I would not poo into a box either or lick my private bits XD

My parents opened the carrier and he was the one little Orangey-Yellow face to pop out, sniff the air, and become magnetically attached to me. He will only purr like this around me though-I almost wanted to name him motorboat :D
