Why? Leona's tone is unique. It sounds angelic. Not to mention her technique is awesome. Have you heard her falsetto? Gorgeous. She can hold notes for a very long time. Her runs are great. She doesn't sound strained when singing them (unlike Beyonce and Jennifer). Christina is so powerful. Jennifer's voice isn't unique..sounds like so many other black women voices. Beyonce is the best performer hands down..but not the best voice. Go Leona!

I'm sorry, i am a bey fan, but when it comes to leona, that girl has got one of the most beautiful voices i have ever heard. Bey, nor the others win this time. Because to be honest, leona can it high, low, and every other notes beautifully. And when she sings live, she sound exactly the same as when you hear her on a record. All of their voices are pretty, but leona's is the best.
leona's F5 is unfair, because the clip continues into a G5, and i hate some of the clips, mostly christina's F5, i hate that note live, in studio it is so beautiful, and untouchable, i would have used contigo en la distancia, understand, or something else that i forgot, and spent 5 minutes trying to remember
Pretty sure JHud could kill all these other silly girls vocally. The only one who might be able to keep up is Beyonce with her vocal dexterity but Jennifer's muscle is just much too much for Leona or Christina.
Leona voice is too thin and whiny sounding,her voice sounds shrill at times too.
Christina is the opposite,she shouts and strains too much and her rifts and runs are sloppy and all over the place.
Bey has perfect timing,spot on and flawless runs,great breath control and vocal agility.Great support and a lot of resonance.More controlled voice,very powerful i might add and more consistent than the other two ladies

Beyonce wins this but she is no match for Whitney or Mariah Carey!!!
but if she wants her voice to last, she needs to evolve. beyonce's fine once you get past the oversinging because she has better control than the others.

the bad: leona's voice is a bit one-dimensional and it's not very strong. beyonce, xtina, and jennifer oversing to the max! beyonce's vibrato is overdone and annoying, xtina feels the need to show her whole range in every song she performs, and jennifer can't seem to get through a song without sustaining an A5 or higher in mixed voice. jennifer's voice is also 1-D and xtina needs to learn a healthier technique ASAP. the scratchy vocals worked during the stripped/B2B era's..
they all have their good and bad qualities. the good: leona's tone is very smooth and elegant and she has great range. i love the emotion she puts into her songs. beyonce is somewhat underrated as a singer. she has soul, she has a strong voice, and she uses the best vocal technique out of the 4. christina's voice is raw, gritty, edgy, and emotional. she has the best tone out of the 4. jennifer has a big strong voice with massive range!

@RomuloVideos2 Celine doesn't write her own material so lyrically there can't be a comparison. I'm also fairly sure Mariah and Whitney did not write most of their own stuff, if any (although I think Mariah meddled in it). Celine has consistently performed with the same grace and finesse for two decades in this country and continues to do so to this day - well after Whitney has became completely irrelevant and Mariah headed that way, as well. So yes, Celine is well, well above either of them.

But lyrical is the capacity of the artist to express itself using his techniques and abilities to shine its feelings and the real meaning of the song. Whitney has the finnest lyrical expression and Mariah have a good lyrically indeed. Celine have it too, but it isn't in the same level as W or M cause her knowledge about proper techniques to sing overshadows her vocal gifts. She can't mix properly...

jennifer does a good job at screaming and yelling, loudness does not define power and rawness. leona on the other hand can push notes out WITHOUT yelling and screaming, she just doesn't project her notes very well. and beyonce hands down has the most raw power, and her riffs are like no other, and her transitions in between belts are effortless. and why is christina even in this video? she doesn't have a raspy voice but it sounds that way b/c she strains to hit her notes.

Leona's voice is smooth and soft and she can hit great notes. Beyonce's and jenniifer's voices are a lot stronger though beyonce's is smother, both of their voices stand out a lot more then the others. Christina has a strong voice but I thing she is the weakest of the three.
When Christina uses her voice correctly I think she's best. But overall I think Leona is the best. Beyonce is best in her chest register. Jennifer can belt the highest though.

Beyonce slays hands down. The most in tune with her musicianship and she's far more musically intelligent than her peers, also uses her vocals with far more control and restraint, phenom.
Jennifer is good, could be great, she has a lot of potential, but she's too focused on screaming.
Leona has a great voice, but she barely sings...she's just...there...making nice sounds come out her mouth.
Christina has a nice instrument, but abuses it so much it's ridiculous. Oh well.
beyonce's voice comes from the incredible echo on her mic. If you really pay attention the echo is what makes her voice sound interesting. Christina is the best HANDS DOWN!!!! Leona is a close second. I love how her clips are mostly from a talent show that she was discovered on and already she is compared to the better vocalists of this generation LOL Adore her

This sucks, at 3:41 that's not a E5 if you heard Xtina's before... Beyonce can never do that.. But for me:
1 Christina ( she owns them all can higher lower and more power)
2 Jennifer ( don't know her but Xtina owns her at the national Anthem)
3 Leona (Great singer but most of live performes out of Xfactor she can't sing all her notes from studio version without fail..)

the bad: leona's voice is a bit one-dimensional and it's not very strong. beyonce, xtina, and jennifer oversing to the max! beyonce's vibrato is overdone and annoying, xtina feels the need to show her whole range in every song she performs, and jennifer can't seem to get through a song without sustaining an A5 or higher in mixed voice. jennifer's voice is also 1-D and xtina needs to learn a healthier technique ASAP. the scratchy vocals worked during the stripped/B2B era's..

they all have their good and bad qualities. the good: leona's tone is very smooth and elegant and she has great range. i love the emotion she puts into her songs. beyonce is somewhat underrated as a singer. she has soul, she has a strong voice, and she uses the best vocal technique out of the 4. christina's voice is raw, gritty, edgy, and emotional. she has the best tone out of the 4. jennifer has a big strong voice with massive range!

I'm also fairly sure Mariah and Whitney did not write most of their own stuff, if any (although I think Mariah meddled in it). Celine has consistently performed with the same grace and finesse for two decades in this country and continues to do so to this day - well after Whitney has became completely irrelevant and Mariah headed that way, as well. So yes, Celine is well, well above either of them.

But lyrical is the capacity of the artist to express itself using his techniques and abilities to shine its feelings and the real meaning of the song. Whitney has the finnest lyrical expression and Mariah have a good lyrically indeed. Celine have it too, but it isn't in the same level as W or M cause her knowledge about proper techniques to sing overshadows her vocal gifts. She can't mix properly...

@Mlowery85 ... she can't belt properly resonating the note in the head or in the mask, she doesn't have the same timing, ability, vocal capacity, power, pure gifts, privileged tone, rich texture and neither intelligence and musical sense about what she's doing. Celine have a such talent to be a singer, but she was so overrated that she can see that she need to stop and take more lesson about how to sing properly. We stop here now.

jennifer does a good job at screaming and yelling, loudness does not define power and rawness. leona on the other hand can push notes out WITHOUT yelling and screaming, she just doesn't project her notes very well. and beyonce hands down has the most raw power, and her riffs are like no other, and her transitions in between belts are effortless. and why is christina even in this video? she doesn't have a raspy voice but it sounds that way b/c she strains to hit her notes.

Leona's voice is smooth and soft and she can hit great notes. Beyonce's and jenniifer's voices are a lot stronger though beyonce's is smother, both of their voices stand out a lot more then the others. Christina has a strong voice but I thing she is the weakest of the three.

Beyonce slays hands down. The most in tune with her musicianship and she's far more musically intelligent than her peers, also uses her vocals with far more control and restraint, phenom.
Jennifer is good, could be great, she has a lot of potential, but she's too focused on screaming.
Leona has a great voice, but she barely sings...she's just...there...making nice sounds come out her mouth.
Christina has a nice instrument, but abuses it so much it's ridiculous. Oh well.

beyonce's voice comes from the incredible echo on her mic. If you really pay attention the echo is what makes her voice sound interesting. Christina is the best HANDS DOWN!!!! Leona is a close second. I love how her clips are mostly from a talent show that she was discovered on and already she is compared to the better vocalists of this generation LOL Adore her

I don't care who's the best, to me its Beyonce, but I'm amazed that Leona can keep up with these women. She's definitely the underdog yet holds her own. Its awesome. OF course JHUD and Christina are powerful, but Christina lacks refinement imo. JHUDs big so of course she can sing. Beyonce's the best to me though I love them all I mean she froze the screen with her powerful F5 haha
