I now refer to the symbol that Prince once changed his name to as "that funny looking thing." Maybe that's what the media should have dubbed him instead of "the artist formerly known as Prince." Or maybe they should've called him "The artist formerly known as Prince, now known as that funny looking thing."
Click my name to check out our video made entirely from the cartoons they used to teach children about words and letters on old episodes of Sesame Street! :D
I wish someone could find the clip where this cartoon man was angry and they were trying to tell him about the letter S and kept say "That's Stupid" I thought that one was funn but can't find it anywhere!
I think I remember this somewhat. Sesame Street used to put on a lot of cartoons featuring two people squabbling about details while discussing a letter. 'J' is the other one I remember most. One quick question: 1. Who does the voice of the man with the mustache? Sounds like the 'voice' in 'Do You Know What Backwards Means?' (e.g. 'We'll show you what backwards means!') Also, 'How do you do that?' 'Do What?' also appears in the 'backwards' clip.
At last I finally found out that Jim Thurman was the one who provided the "grumpy old man" voice that I heard in various kids shows. Unfortunately, I also found out that Thurman had passed away recently. :(
He was a prolific guy, who voice-acted and wrote for tons of different shows: Sesame Street, Electric Company, Roger Ramjet, Square One, Fat Albert, and much more.

He had such a great voice for the part. The casting for this was spot on. As was timing.
A much loved little skit. Thanks.
