Great ideas. I'd advise dry sacs because they will keep everything dry if u are going canoeing, and the are great for everything from clothing to sleeping mats!
I have the thin Sealine nylon ones that look like the walmart ones, but they actualy work. I roll one of the 10liter ones up inside my cook kit and use it for hauling water. What I would really like though would be a Dry sack like the baja bag (heavier sealine model) that has compression straps on it (the normal ones not the telecompressor like in this video) would be nice to have the best of both worlds.
Hi, is there a certain size of compression sack that you recommend for a sleeping bag to make it as small as possible to put in a backpack? My backpack is very similar to yours in the vid.
The reason why those walmart dry bags are so cheap is because, well they are cheap. Mine leaked after 2 trips. I've used my NRS dry bag for years kayaking and it hasn't leaked yet.
@tallmanbrad91 any type of hunting store: cabelas, sportsmans If you are unfamiliar with those or don't have any close try a local sporting goods store. They should have them
Interesting seeing someone make reviews about the various parts that most ppl would feel is too small to discuss. I have never used a dry sack, my osprey pack with cheap stuff sacks inside have always been enough even in heavy rain. But I have thought about securing various equipment with dry sacks to avoid moisture that sometimes happen.

3:42 Just for clarification, you store your dirty laundry in that sack; wash the contents and then return them to the same sack?

No back peddling now, you're a cross-contaminationist !!

to compress a drybag, you can roll it somewhat loosely about 2 times, then kneel on it to squeeze out the air then roll it the rest of the way.

i really like dry bags because they are airtight, so you can use it as a vacuum type container. they pack clothing really compactly.
