yeah it is. It is a tune first done by the Kinks, then later on the Doors did "Hello, I love you", and its tune was very close to "All day and all of the Night". Ray Daviess (Kinks) didnt take kindly to it and sued Jim Morrison cos of the tune, successfully actually, and then the Sex Pistols came along and did it again with "Submission". I was just furthering what Steve said when he said "..a Doors song...or was it the Kinks?..." well he knows...
Well if you include the most influential, the most impact, the best sounding(guitar sound),lets be honest that album has been the nucleus of every album ever made since despite the rawness and basicness of it,best ever imo.
On the electric guitar the best riff i`ve ever heard is the opening riff on Pretty Vacant,on the accoustic its got to be the opening riff of Wonderwall by Oasis.
ngmmo7! The guitar in the vid 1.07 + 3.46 seconds is a Burny RLC-SJ-Custom. The guitar at 114 seconds is a very rare colour, sunburst(Tobaccoburst), double cut-away Gibson Les Paul Special and last but not least the guitar in the pic 4.08 is his much used Gibson Les Paul Custom. Sorry if I sound like a trainspotter.
i wouldnt say created. they certainly developed it quite a lot. Velvet Underground, Stooges and MC5 were probably the main creators of the idea of punk.
Nah man, punk isn't necessairely a "hard" form of rock 'n' roll. Patty Smith is a punk artist, its not hard, Punk is the therm of you know "Simple, Accessible, Done outside huge companies." If you prefer its the musik equivalent of grafiti for art. Street musik, club musik. I cant realy sum up the definition. Punk i gess is an ajectiv all to its own. But I totaly agree, long live the Ramones and the Sex Pistols!
Punk is the simple 3 chord fun songs like the early 60's rock n roll and the late 60's came in and people like hendrix and jimmy page playin 20 minute solo's and bands playin a million notes and like johnny ramone said"i couldent do it,it would take me a yr to learn just some of a hendrix song so we did was done before the easy fun rock n roll we all knew and loved" Im agreeing with you but i just had to get my 2 cents in haha
Glen Matlock is really good on the bass.

Malcolm Maclaren is a tosser, he slagged off the northerners and hes the one that wrecked it for the Sex Pistols.

they revolutionised punk

They CREATED punk.
They and the Ramones came up with the idea by themselves, independently, about the same time.
leeraconteur 3 years ago
i actually thought the ramones were a fair time before the pistols. I dnt really like the ramones, the pistols made punk worth listening to.
nothinisavailable 3 years ago
well i like the ramones but i like the sex pistols alot more.
Brandondryer40324 3 years ago
i like the pistols because they maintain a strong element of rock n roll even though they are first and foremost a punk band.
nothinisavailable 3 years ago 4
yeah thats why i like em.
