@jpow890 Why is this comment rated down? He/she is right! If you compare Malmark to Schulmerich bells, you will hear that Malmark bells sound very metallic, while Schulmerich bells have a warmer, richer sound. Especially the high range Malmark bells have a piercing sound that is really not flattering.
thank all of you for posting this bell piece. It is my all time favorate and I've only heard it twice, once at a handbell festival and the other at a church. Thank you so much
You guys did an excellent job with Laudation. I am glad that there is a recording of this song on the interent finally. Our handbell choir played this song at a festival. This is a beautiful. I understand that being outside and having the bells on hard, some dynamics had to be skipped. I hope to see more really songs like this on Youtube.
Normally we do our best with the dynamics (the piano at the end is practically impossible), but in this recording we were outside... so all the bells were set on hard and we were just ringing as loudly as we could. :D
Excellent work! Great enthusiasm and coordination; it's always so much more fun to watch a choir that truly seems to enjoy playing.
If I may suggest (and it's possible that this is solely due to the video quality, in which case I apologize).. try to pay more attention to the dynamics. The lower and middle bells were occasionally drowning out the melody. Also, there are a couple big dynamic spots (for instance, I think there are a couple really dramatic subito pianos in the end) that didn't...

completely come out as shockingly as they could have.
But all in all, nice job! I'm glad someone else finally posted this to youtube. If you're up for it, you can find our rendition through my profile.
PS: Ambitious tempo! :)
