Just think some guys can do this on one tire... This here is hard at, I find the 2x clockwise and then couter-clockwise circles to be impossible on my R6. But again, some guys can do it on one wheel, keep practicing. Oh, and take critism when is due, realize your no where near a great rider and may never be.
@movefast319 as long as you trust your bike to hold its own, use proper clutch and throttle control and focus your eyes forward and not on the ground you'll be straight
Everybody that gave a negative comment can kick rocks. That shit aint easy to do even for skilled riders, stop being fuckin pussies and hiding behind a key board and get your ass on a bike and try it. I give him props for doin it on an R1, i only have an R6 and it was hard on that
How far apart are those cones. I did same test on m1 test in Ontario. The only difference is the cones are taller and they're in sets of 2 in each line. That's very hard for a ss bike, even the examiner told me that. I did it on my Z1000, my strategy was to get a decent speed before the turn and accelerate while in the turn cause i had to lean pretty good to squeeze between the cones and not drop the bike, some guys used to make wide turns like 10 meters away from the cones.
you stupid retarded fucks. If you are so fucking skillfull try doin that shit on a superbike or an SS bike.IT was'nt ment for close angle turns it has the turning circle of a moon,so it's by all means very hard to handle at 5 mph or even less by the looks of it.So give the guy a credit and keep your fuckin' wide mouths shut!

Oh man, wrong bike for doing that test! Your acually doing good!, It takes usally alot of practice on the YZF's to turn them sharply, they are not made for slow speed turns :) I had one.
@AgentMi6 I had an R1 too but he's practicing controlling the power of the 1000cc Supersportbike and it ain't easy but once he mastered the power then he'll be doing powersliding next hehe
But this doesn't require the brake or even particularly slow speed, you just have to have the confidence to swing the bike back and forth. This is one of the most fun things you do in MSF.
use the rear brake a little. it does wonders in tight turns. That test isn't too bad, but it's definitely 1000x easier on the 250's they give you at MSF.
Keep practicing. Everyone should go back to a parking lot like this and practice these tests. I do it every once in a while also. Always makes me feel guilty though. So much of the riding happens in the friction zone on bigger bikes. Hopefully my clutch will keep on trucking.
to all the people saying he doesnt deserve that bike or he is a joke.. who knows how long hes been riding? he looks like he is practicing, where not to many people do. he gets my respect because hes taking initiative to learn. who are you to say shit like that? who ever had negative comments have never been on a bike or isnt a real rider, because if you really are, you would understand everyone starts at that point. people have been riding for years and are still learning.
If you can't do this on the first time with absolute ease, you have ABSOLUTELY no business riding an R1. Most people who could do this on the first time perfectly still don't have any business being on an R1.
If you can't do this on the first time with absolute ease, you have ABSOLUTELY no business riding an R1. Most people who could do this on the first time perfectly still don't have any business being on an R1.
My Lord...you've gotta be kidding me. If you can't complete simple maneuvers, you shouldn't be riding a sport bike. At least he was wearing a helmet and proper riding gear. But...what a fucking joke.
Even a beast like your R1 can do it easy as long as you putt along at a crawl and with a riding position like the R1 you will need to counter ballance it.
"Gonna Fly Now", also known as "Theme from Rocky", is the theme song from the movie Rocky, composed by Bill Conti with lyrics by Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins, and performed by DeEtta Little (the sister of actor Cleavon Little) and Nelson Pigford. Released in 1976 with the movie Rocky, the song became part of American popular culture after main character Rocky Balboa completed his daily training regimen while the song played.
Well some people will use common sense and not jump on a R1 stright after passing there test. I can do it all. But no point riding a R6 to do tight turns. Get a smaller bike or something that your body aint low down or race designed...
All of the people I know took the test on the same bike they ride everyday. 31% of the people I work with own motorcycles and 22% of them ride them at least 5 times a week. Department of Defense gathered those numbers. Any motorcycle safety instructor you talk to will tell you the same thing...
Take it your from the states, In the uk, We are only allowed to test on 500cc. thats if you over 21 once you pass I can ride bike any power which i did pass. If your 17-20 you can only take a full motorbike test on a 125cc. then you once you pass you can ride any bike but as to be restricted 33bhp... I not sure how works in the US
@selby792 Stupid comments like what. You don't know what your talking about. I never said that practice and riding time wouldn't work. but it definitely isn't the only way to learn.
man people talk so much shit in here about this guy being able to afford an r1 and nice and expensive clothing. It is up to each one of us what we do with our money, regardless of the experience that we have riding. If you are a master at riding but can barely afford a scooter then don't hate on others please.
speaking from experience, if you want to pass this test (same in Ohio and most states) you NEED to learn how to lean your bike. If you try this test with a level bike, you WILL fail.
Dude maybe if you didn't buy a big ass bike as your first bike it wouldn't be such a hassle
